Well this unfortunate customer had his cam follower wear though..took it to a mechanic after buying a new fuel pump lets say the job wasn’t done very well and we are now onto fuel pump no.3, after swapping the internals into the new hpfp supplied i flushed and drained the oil, dropped the sump and fitted a new oil pick up new filter and fresh oil then changed the fuel filter to my surprise this fuel lifter had never been changed. I also stumbled across a faulty fuel level sensor so that was replaced and back to reading the correct fuel level!

Mk5 golfs are the norm around here!

This mk5 came in with a failed bonnet cable previously repaired and an odd bit of damage to the windscreen…one of the hinges on the wiper motor seized causing the linkage to snap and crack the windshield. Of course that couldn’t be changed until bonnet was open!
After dealing with the the customer had mentioned raising the car as it scrapes everything once a got it in the air i noticed:
Under tray fitted upside down
2X track rod end boots that are dead
Cv grease on the block (its had a new shaft)
Brakepad wear sensor plug damaged
And some bushes that will need some attention aswel.

After speaking with the customer he is booked in for early August and we are going to get this car back to top tier. by @beastmode_developments

I love the look of amazement when a customer sees me go directly to an issue once knowing the symptoms.

This customer cane in with his car running rough (airleak) went straight to work and found this pipe split PLEASE DONT USE JUBILEE CLIPS on you hoses, that was rectified with a spare i had along with a electrical plug for the DIVERTER VALVE which was having an intermittent open circuit fault as the plug just wasnt clipping in place, again being as I specifically work n the ea113 and the ea888 vehicles i normally stock parts or have spares sat waiting for the right time!

Whilst we were there i advised the customer get rid of the silly silicone pipe and the gfb boost gauge tap and replace it with a genuine from pcv pipe.

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE 1st and 2nd pictures

This was a satisfying find and another reason why people choose TEAM BEASTMODE!!!

Faulty crankshaft position sensor replacement but the new sensor would not push all the way home…no satisfying clic and why not? After a few minutes i realised exactly why. This is returning customer with an Edition 30 that had a really bad oil leak and guess what? Rubber doesnt like oil… there was oil leaking all over the crank pos sensor and had leak for soo long the water resistant seal had swollen so once i removed the sensor it would no longer allow a new sensor to be pushed in place.
You can see the massive difference in size and the customer was there to witness it all.
And because we specialise in these VAG cars i had a plug i could take a good seal from and have him on his way same day

Small victory that made my Friday special…thats why we say Beastmode to the 🌍 by @beastmode_developments
