The original video of this song is more than 4 minutes long this was just a week or so after his sister / momma dog Bell crossed over. I can hear the sadness and confusion in his song. He sang A Lot in the few weeks after she passed away. by @beau10689

This was one of the first videos of Beau that ever went viral. Singing to his favorite BarkBox toy his beloved ballerina Most people thought it was adorable. They laughed at the little dachshund singing to his ballerina. 🩰🐾 But I heard something different. At the time this video was taken, Beau had injured his back. His bed was on the floor because he was on strict floor rest. Before Beau & my sister came to live with me, my sister lovingly cared for him with acupuncture, massage, and skin rolling as part of his gealrh routine. This was before his Structural Integration journey began. When I listen to this video now, I don't hear a happy song. I hear a body asking for help. I hear a nervous system trying to regulate itself the only way it knew how. I've listened to Beau sing for years, and his songs are different. When he's excited, they sound different than when he's grieving, anxious, or in pain. His voice changes because his nervous system changes. Animals are constantly communicating with us if we're willing to listen. After beginning Structural Integration, Beau's body changed dramatically. As restrictions and scar tissue released, his posture changed, his movement became more effortless, and even his songs changed. Today, when he sings, I hear a completely different dog. This video reminds me that healing isn't just about eliminating symptoms. It's about creating enough ease that the nervous system no longer has to cry out in the same way. Sometimes healing sounds like silence.
