Went on beloved @nts_radio to talk about this wild week of crowdfunding to finish a record with heroes @beau_mo and @nadiaksaiba on their breakfast show ! lucky to have such support… and gave a first spin of single one.. coming soon. Also on the chat I got told I look like a c*nty Kenneth Branagh lol ;( and also loads and loads of people loved the song but one person was like ‘pleeeease make it stop’ - thank you in equal measure to my lovers and my critics. You keep me young ❤️ by @beau_mo

Back on @nts_radio breakfast show duties on Friday 18th September , in fact almost 5 years since we last were entrusted to soundtrack your breakfast (deep in pandemic.)

Expect matcha latte’s , local pastries, sleepy pumpers, finger injury updates and maybe a competition which we haven’t planned yet. In the meantime you can listen to our latest Rhythm Connection show (link in bio) and maybe we will stick the old breakfast show up there too! by @beau_mo

There are some memories that can only be sparked to life when beside a good friend. Those who have spent their lives circling the same dancefloors as you. While some friendships are built in daylight others are built in dark rooms, through shared records or chance encounters as years are spent chasing the same feeling.

Ahead of our 8th Birthday and Superstore’s takeover, we joined Dan Beaumont and Prosumer on Primrose Hill for a walk through memories, music and the strange pull of nightlife. From the life-changing force (sometimes too strong) of those early soundsystems to the queer communities that built the culture we know today. What followed felt less like an interview and more like two old friends comparing notes, moans and sentiments from different corners of the same story. A conversation about belonging, about following instinct, about the moments when a record lands exactly where it’s needed and somewhere between it all, a dream of a revolving nightclub spinning above London’s skyline.

Some ideas are too beautiful not to believe in and this Saturday at The Cause is one of them.

A sticky floor, a shared cigarette, a 5am kebab in a jockstrap, an introduction that turns into a lifetime of friendship… @dsuperstore a home.

For 17 years, Superstore has existed in the in-between of a cozy bar, intimate dancefloor or simply the living room for London’s queer community. A place where people found each other. Where strangers became family. Where conversations stretched into mornings and where being together was always the point.

From the heydays of Dalston’s strip, Superstore was an idea worth the risk. It helped shape the cultural fabric of the area, creating space for queer people to gather, celebrate, organise and simply exist. Through changing neighbourhoods, rising rents and the constant push and pull between community and capital has changed Dalston, Superstore has remained defiantly itself.

Ahead of Superstore’s takeover for our 8th Birthday next Saturday, we sat down with members of the team and extended family to get an honest glimpse into what makes it so special. What emerged was a reminder that queer culture doesn’t live online or in archives. It lives in rooms, smells and hazy memories. In the moments we can share together.

Catch the Superstore family taking over the Courtyard for our 8th Birthday celebrations on Saturday 6th June, bringing nearly two decades of community, connection and house icons for good measure.
