Finding micro joys to survive macro grief. 💙

We miss our little man so much but truly believe he is with us in everything we do. 🙏🏻💙

POV: my morning without trending audio.

Anyone else have a toddler who wakes up every morning with the confidence of a grown man and the impulse control of a raccoon? 😂

Meanwhile, my almost 7-year-old is out here just trying to survive. 😅

A month after Beau passed away we visited the butterfly atrium (which we have visited all the time and was one of our last places we visited before he was born) it is very special to us now.

We have gone many times before this and never had an interaction like this. Butterflies have always been so significant in my life and specifically the blue one. They danced around us for the entire time we were in there, I didn’t want to leave. I know it was Beau sending them to us to tell us he’s okay. He sent two. I think it was him playing with Willow 💙🦋

1 month after Beau passed away we visited the zoo. We experienced the most amazing interaction I could have ever imagined. I truly believe it was Beau playing with Willow. This will forever be engrained into my heart.

One day, oh one day… I could have never imagined in sickness or in health would be for our sweet baby. The things we have gone through together. Forever bonded in a million ways. You were always meant to be mine, and he was always meant to be ours 💙

4 years have passed since the last time I held my sweet baby boy. I truly didn’t believe I would ever smile again. I still feel guilty in moments where I’m happy, but I know my boy would want me to feel joy.

I’ve had to really shift the way I move through life-moving through life in a way to live for the both of us. I also have little eyes watching the way I grieve and I want to teach them to find ways to honor the people we love through joy and to find ways to live FOR them.

The past four years I’ve gone through so much grief and if anything it has taught me how short life is and to try to fill it with so much goodness.

It’s okay to not get it right. 💙 Honestly, even after living through deep grief, I still don’t always have the right words when someone else is hurting.

Most people mean well, and that matters more to me than saying everything perfectly.

But this just hit different, the idea of my baby being wished away or wishing to not have existed. I’d do it all again to have him in my arms just for a moment 💔

When Beau died I wasn’t the only one who lost a child. He did too. But he somehow carried me through.

Our love is so special and I know why the world kept bringing us together.
