Election Day is TODAY! 🗳️💙

If you haven’t made it out to early voting, there’s still time to make your voice heard. From local elections to ballot measures, every vote matters, and it’s important to know exactly what you’re voting for. Do your research, make a plan, find your polling location, and SHOW UP!

Especially as young people and HBCU students, our voices deserve to be represented in the decisions shaping our communities and our futures. Don’t let anyone convince you that your vote doesn’t matter.

Your voice. Your vote. Your future. ❤️

The sit-in is only the beginning. 💜✊🏾

Following our Anti-Violence Against Women Sit-In, I’m proud to share updates on resources available to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence throughout the Atlanta University Center and surrounding community.

Advocacy must extend beyond raising our voices. It means connecting survivors to accessible care, sharing resources, and building communities where survivors are heard, believed, and supported.

To every survivor: You deserve safety, support, and the space to heal on your own terms.

Please share these resources with someone who may need them. More updates to come. 💜

Today’s the day.

In a couple hours, women of the AUC will share a moment of vulnerability, togetherness, and reclaim strength. We take back the pain inflicted onto us, and proclaim that we have our voices back. And sister, I am so proud of you. It is not easy to do that. For every survivor that shows up, every relative of a survivor, friend of a survivor, ally of survivors — thank you for being here. This movement is bigger than individual, and community is what links us all together.

Here’s the final reminders of why we will sit in for solidarity. Timeline may be subject to change— please see updates on my Instagram story as needed.

Sisters, sit in to support and power. Brothers, attend in stand adjacent in solidarity. Change through activism starts with you.

🚨 OUR VOICES MATTER. OUR SAFETY MATTERS. ACCOUNTABILITY MATTERS. 🚨

Our movement doesn’t end with a sit-in. It continues with action. 🩷✊🏾

We are calling on our campus communities and college administrations to take meaningful steps toward preventing gender-based violence, strengthening accountability, improving survivor support, and creating safer environments for everyone.

This petition stands in solidarity with survivors. No one should have to suffer in silence, fear speaking out, or feel that their experiences do not matter.

We are demanding more than awareness. We are demanding meaningful dialogue, concrete commitments, and lasting change.

🖊️ SIGN THE PETITION.
📲 SHARE IT WITH YOUR COMMUNITY.
🤝🏾 STAND WITH SURVIVORS. DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY.

You do not have to share your story to deserve support. You do not have to stand alone to make a difference.

3 Days Away…

OUR SILENCE WILL NOT BE THE PRICE OF OUR SURVIVAL.

We refuse to accept a world where survivors are left to carry the weight of institutional inaction, where women must fight to be heard, and where our safety is treated as negotiable.

This sit-in is a demand for survivor-centered support, stronger prevention, safer campuses, accessible Title IX dialogue, and institutional accountability.

As Black women, we understand that liberation requires more than the right to speak—it requires a world that respects our voices, protects our dignity, and takes our safety seriously.

We have attempted to establish dialogue with college administrations. We remain open to meaningful engagement, but promises without action are not justice.

We stand in solidarity with survivors, including those who cannot safely share their stories. No one owes the world their trauma to deserve protection.

We are not asking for permission to demand better. We are organizing because we deserve better.

✊🏾 Our safety is nonnegotiable. Our liberation is collective. Our demands will be heard.

🚨 AUC, IT’S TIME TO TAKE A STAND. 🚨

Violence against women is not just an individual issue — it’s a community issue. Sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, harassment, and gender-based violence cannot continue to be ignored, excused, or normalized.

On October 15th at 7 PM, we’re gathering at the AUC Robert Woodruff Library for a SIT-IN TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN. 🩷✊🏾

We stand in solidarity with survivors. We demand accountability. We call for action, safer spaces, and a community that refuses to remain silent.

This is more than a sit-in. It’s a statement. It’s a call to action. It’s a reminder that our voices, our safety, and our lives matter.

AUC students, organizations, allies, and advocates — WE NEED YOU THERE. Share this post, bring your people, and show up in solidarity. Let’s turn our collective outrage into collective action.

Silence protects perpetrators. Solidarity empowers survivors. WE WILL NOT BE SILENT. 🩷

On Monday, September 28th, Rai-Elle Ingram, Bonner Scholar ’2029, worked alongside Morgan Simpson, Bonner Scholar ’2028 and Dunbar Collegiate Events Coordinator, to connect Morehouse Motors, Tiny Tummy Trust, S.K.I.R.T.S., and Project Crown with Dunbar Elementary 5th graders for a Puberty Workshop.

Morehouse and Spelman students led discussions on puberty, proper hygiene, and feminine hygiene practices while also providing students with donated food and hygiene bags. Through this collaboration, students were able to learn, ask questions, and gain resources to support their health and well-being by @beautifulblackscholar_

On March 21st, 2026, I was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta First-Year Honor Society at Spelman College for having a 3.5+ GPA.

I also celebrated my birthday. Today was a day of joy. I basked in the love of my friends around me, my mother came to surprise me and shower her birthday love on me, and I felt prouder than ever.

I couldn’t believe the life I was living! Here I was, walking across this stage that I’ve stepped on numerous times since I matriculated here: as a student voice, a presidential candidate, a chapel assistant; and now I was receiving an honor—- a testament if you will—- to my success and hard work.

First semester was far from easy, both mentally, physically, physiologically, emotionally, all the -allys! But by the Grace and determination of God, I did it.

Thank you, @aldspelman. Here’s to a legacy filled with growth. by @beautifulblackscholar_
