A Basket of Braided Dreams weaved together in the Ghetto! Where I come from defines my art in so many ways. I remember learning how to braid from my next door neighbor by my Grandfathers house. Who would’ve known learning this craft would lead to big dreams and such creative ideas. 🖤 Model: @__jahii photographed by: Desiray Underwood by @beautifulblkbarbie

When I think of a roller set it takes me back to Cosmetology school… fond memories of my hair friend Erika and how she could perfectly roller set a head full and do a mean blow out! Each style I created for FWR this year was inspired by our Culture and a significant person, period or memory 🤞🏾 #hairstylist #blackhair #creativity #nyhair #lahair by @beautifulblkbarbie

Sometimes there’s a loss of identity when you become a mother… shedding of your old self to become this new being pulled in so many directions. You become consumed with so many different things. Remember to be kind to yourself in this new role. Although it comes with challenges and changes you still need to prioritize you and all the MAGIC inside you. Promising I will make time for my ART 🤍 Photography by @goodknewsphotography Model daniellepondermusic Makeup @beautyforashez Assistant: Phoenix Blackwood/ Hair, Dress, and Creative Direction -Me BeautifulBlkBarbie #creativeart #creative #creativephotography #blackgirlmagic #blackhair #blackgirlmakeup #branding #lahairstylist #lahair #nyhairstylist #nyhair #creativedirector by @beautifulblkbarbie
