I don’t know what it is about this age, but nothing feels impossible anymore. Even when I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, I have this unshakable belief that I can create the life I truly want…not just exist.

Then I found a TikTok by @traytothec1 that inspired the quote on this carousel, it felt like exactly what I needed to hear. It reminded me to keep going because I’m going to figure this out.

So that’s what I’m doing.

I’ve given myself until my next birthday to relocate to Africa and build a life where I’m free to travel when I want, work how I want, and live on my own terms.

I have about 290 days left.

That’s how I found a $450 to Maputo, Mozambique 6 weeks before my birthday because a flight this cheap in 2026 makes no sense otherwise. I needed to revisit Africa to be reminded I was meant to be here all along.

If you could relocate anywhere, where would it be?

Honestly, I was on the fence about publicly sharing that I’m looking to move to Africa, most likely Ghana, because it’s scary to be seen trying, and I don’t have the best record of posting on the Internet. However, I have always been passionate about creating a life that I don’t need a vacation from. I’m also excited to find people who are interested in that as well and who might also want to plan their exodus from the West too. I have so many reasons why I’m considering relocating, but I’ll explain more later.

This past year I’ve taken a trip about every 4–6 weeks now that I’m working full time again. However, the vacation has to check a few boxes because I don’t have unlimited PTO or unlimited funds, yet.

Here are my must-haves:
• Affordable accommodations
• Consistently good flight deals and relatively close
• Somewhere your dollar goes far
• Easy to explore on a long weekend
• Rich local Black culture to tap into and feed your soul

When I was in DR, my friends flew home a day before me, so I ended up going to one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen—Saona Island shown above—by myself. And as magical as it was, I don’t want to experience moments like that alone anymore. So I’m inviting you to come with me next time.

What’s your prayer for Black women? Let’s turn the comment section into a positive space for us because it’s been a heavy week.

By the way this is the United States Virgin Islands. I went almost 4 weeks ago and fell in love. I took a flight to St Thomas and then caught the ferry to this island which is St John.

I know it may be obvious to some but politics impacts everything in our lives. At this big age I realize that small stuff like food and travel or big stuff like global conflicts and environmental conservation are all influenced by politics. Thats why it matters that we all stay informed, vote, and get active with causes we care about. Just to be clear voting is not a magic pill, silver bullet, or going to solve all the problems we face. It’s a starting point to civic engagement and it still makes a difference.

If you’re in PA, today is the last day to register to vote.

It has taken me a long time to recognize that I am not worthy because I am “perfect” —whatever that means. I’m worthy because I just am. I’m still on the journey of self love so I’m sharing if anyone else can relate.

Also I’m learning to be grateful for this body, regardless of its size, for taking me to Sierra Leone this year (slide 5), helping me spend quality time with my dad in Ghana (slide 6), enjoying everyday life in Philly with some amazing folks @phillyblackwinefest preview (slide 7).

Full transparency in the first slide I weighed about 170lbs in the beginning of August. I’m 5’4.5”. The third slide I’m in DR in 2019 and I’m around 150Lbs. I know I sound redundant but my physique was never the problem my mentality was. by @beautifully.flawed.one

I don’t want to be IG famous I want to be whole in real life. This page is just my visual diary cause it doesn’t really have a theme. Creating a life I don’t need a vacation from, seeing the magic in everything (like Philly sunset picnics), taking chances, making mistakes.

I’m supposed to be creating low effort content but this took work lol. I also missed yesterday because the wine was too good. It’s okay. Im human and figuring it out.
