💔💔💔💔 Forever brokenhearted...forever missing you. The pain will always be present. I never got to be Daddy's girl. We've never gone anywhere. Birthday parties...holidays...nothing. It's almost like I'm grieving a stranger. Logically you'll never convince me this was OK or normal. You won't be here to walk me down the aisle, you won't hold my children, we won't share funny moments. It goes around and around in my head. Maybe you're at peace...that will have to do. The ache gets stronger with each year, each observation. I would like to think I was worthy of your love and vice versa. But God has the last say right? So he doesn't make mistakes. At least thats what I'm conditioned to believe. To lose you at 23 was unfair. On the verge of turning 41, I find myself ready to strip away everything I've ever known away from me and find a new woman: intentional on purpose, driven, hungry, tenacious, unwavering on my dreams, aspirations, goals, etc. Every day I'm building HER. I hope you see this from heaven. The grit, the resilience, the refusal to give up...just pivoting to get success. If anything comes from losing you, let it be my success. I hope you're proud of me Dad. I hope you know just how much I loved you and love you...in spite of it all. I hope you are resting in total blissful peace and that you know you have a daughter who is a beast in life. I havent met one challenge I havent crushed, one enemy i havemt defeated, and im sure you see what life is for me now and while that might bring you some pain....know that I will be OK. No matter what happens, I always come back or bounce back. You and God see the tenacity, sweat and tears going into every vision he births in me. I won't stop until I win. I won't give up. Perfect song...fit for a queen...because thats what she is. Seems like I picked the perfect picture, seeing as regal as she looked this night. She's dressed for the occasion lol. ON THIS DAY A QUEEN WAS BORN. She lives up to the concept. Selfless, compassionate...always going out of her way to make you smile, laugh, encourage you, pray, put you up on game...WHAT DOESN'T SHE DO? She reminds me so much of myself in various ways. One of the best big sisters a girl could ever have. She already knows what it is. I wish I could repay you for everything you do. I think our sister would agree. OMG! I DID IT...I MADE IT TO 31K FOLLOWERS. WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT TO ME? BECAUSE IT'S MY FIRST PROFESSIONAL GOAL OF THE YEAR...MET. MAN I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF AND I'M NOT BRAGGING. THE HARDSHIP BEHIND THE SCENES IS UNSEEN/UNKNOWN TO THE MASSES. I CAN'T EVEN CONVEY THE HELL I'M IN. YET IN THE MIDST OF THAT...I SUCCEED. THIS ONE MEANS MORE TO ME. NOW WE'RE IN THE TERRITORY I'VE MANIFESTED. NOW WE'RE CLOSER TO THE PRIMARY GOAL. WHILE THIS WAS A SECONDARY TARGET, IT WAS STILL A PRIORITY. FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS, I'VE DONE NOTHING ELSE BUT THROW MYSELF INTO WORK AND FOCUSED. MY BODY COULD TELL THE STORY. I'M EXHAUSTED AND TIRED...YET SITTING HERE FEELING ACCOMPLISHED. IT BE ME PREMATURE, BUT I'VE WORKED MY TAIL OFF TO GET HERE. ALL OF THIS...THESE NUMBERS: GRASS...ROOTS...MOVEMENT. I'VE GARNERED EVERY SINGLE FOLLOWER ON MY OWN...PERIODT. NO ONE HELPED ME. FROM ACQUIRING QUALITY CLOTHING, TO THE VISIONARY PHASE, TO EXECUTION...ALL ME. THAT'S WHY I'M PROUD OF MYSELF. I had a beautiful 18th birthday post planned, then lost it on my other phone which is broken. So I'll just speak freely. These kids mean so much to me. From the actual hour and minute, they entered this world, to now, there have been so many beautiful moments we've shared. Birthday parties, sleepovers, movie nights, play times.... I've been right there. Held them when they were sad, just needed a hug, or if they just wanted to be spoiled rotten by their Tee Tee, I reported for duty. To Mani pedis, tea and Barbie parties, to our WWE nights, there's never been a dull moment with these two. As much as they've told me I've shaped them over the years, I don't think they realize how much they've shaped me. How much every bottle feeding, spit up session, and every milestone they've reached has equipped me for Parenthood. The one thing I'm most proud of is the trust these kids have of me and in me. That's most important. I've built a foundation of love and trust...knowing their Tee Tee has their back and there's nothing they can't tell me. I hope through this next phase of life, they know that I'll always be there for them, to give them advice, encouragement, love, or a swift kick if they try it lol. I'm so incredibly proud of these two. The things they've already accomplished, their work ethics, how passionate they are about their academia, their convictions, the power of their voices, they've already built foundations for success. I couldn't be more proud. I can't believe they're already 18. Time and life goes so fast. At my age I try to show up, even in times of pain, I show up. As long as God allows me time, I'll do my best to show up. I wanna capture every precious milestone of these two. Welp it's official: I no longer have babies. They'll always be my babies, but they are exemplary young adults ready to take the world by storm. I love you guys very much and I pray that God continues to bless and enrich their lives with each age, each step they take, each milestone they reach. So much for time healing wounds...it's still open. This never gets easy. Don't think it ever will. The pain never goes away. It's still as fresh as it was 15 years ago. Wow...it's really been 15 years since you ascended. Didn't think I'd make it past the first hour,week,month, or year, yet hear I am. Thankful God kept me, but the anger is still there. Why? Why? I wanted more time...we should've had more time so that I could frame your smile, etch your words in my memory. I only have fragments of you pieced together to form a memory. A faint memory of your smile, your wit, your charm. I never want to lose that. As another birthday approaches, and I get older, I wonder how we'd be. I wonder if you'd be proud of me, or ache as you see me going through my struggles wanting to take it away from me and put it in you. I wonder if you'd be amazed at my dreams, my aspirations and watch in awe of my creativity and the visions God birthed in me. I wonder if you'd be my cheerleader...cheering me on even when I fail. Motivating and instilling words of wisdom in me. I wonder if we would've had a thing that's just for us: a favorite movie, favorite song, favorite goofy game. That's all I can do now and forever...just wonder, imagine up an alternate ending where you're still here, and we had nothing but time to make core memories. I'll never know why, it's not fair, and maybe I'll have a chip on my shoulder for life...but I won't grieve forever. You wouldn't want that. Doesn't erase the hole in my heart. That's permanent. What I will do is continue to observe this day, go through the feels, then place you back in the box that locks that time up, so that I can continue to make this a little better as each year passes. Love you pops, always...above it all. Before we meet again, and God continues to work on me, I'll become everything that you wished for me. Always...never forgotten. To my beautiful niece and handsome nephew,

Today is a special day...a huge milestone... YOU'RE 16 YEARS OLD TODAY! HOW??? It feels like it was just yesterday when I was watching you guys through the window of the nursery the first minutes of your lives...to the ride home from the hospital...the first time I held you guys. There's so many more memories I can recall but I've been there for every pivotal moment in your lives. I've been protective of you...in awe of you...inspired by you...proud of you...and still am. It's never a dull moment with you two. We laugh together, hang together, I'm your guidance counselor, confidant, bestie,but my best role...is a proud auntie. To watch you two grow into a loving, kind, compassionate, intelligent, hard-working passionate young man and woman, who uses their voices for change, who puts in the work for success, who inspires their peers, you two are simply amazing.Its such a blessing to witness this day and to love you even more than I already do. You both deserve the world and it's yours for the taking. So incredibly proud of you. HAPPY SWEET 16 Tee Tee's babies. No matter how old you get I still expect my hugs and kisses lol.
