And then there are the ones that make you stop scrolling and just sit there with tears in your eyes. 🥹

This one was that for me.

The goal has never been to just “do hair.”

It’s to create a wedding morning where everyone feels beautiful, relaxed, seen, and cared for.

To hear that every hairstyle was loved, that the morning flowed smoothly, and that she’d actually consider driving all the way to Colorado Springs to sit in my chair again…

That’s the kind of compliment money can’t buy.

The volume. The movement. The softness. The way those curls just FALLLLL. 😍

Baby, there’s a reason this style has been booked, blessed, and BUSY for YEARS. 😂

It’s giving romantic. It’s giving timeless. It’s giving I want my hair down, but I still need you to see the DETAILS.

I LOVE being on the road. Y'all know that. 😂🤌🏾 Give me a bride, a mountain view, and a destination to travel to, and I'm THERE.

But baby… I LOVE MY SALON. 🥹🤍

Sometimes I walk through that door and still can't believe it's MINE.

Not too long ago, I was welcoming brides into the third bedroom of my home. And don't get me wrong, I was grateful for that little room. I built something beautiful in that space. But I dreamed of having somewhere separate. Somewhere my brides could walk into and feel like they were having an EXPERIENCE. Somewhere I could grow, create, and call my own.

And GOD DID THAT. 🙌🏾

Since April, I've been holding it DOWN. Paying that rent, showing up, building, learning, and figuring things out as I go.

But can I be vulnerable for a second?

Sometimes I'm still afraid I'll lose the very thing I prayed so hard to have.

Isn't that something? To be standing in the middle of an answered prayer and still wrestling with the fear of losing it.

I'm learning that just because God opened the door doesn't mean fear won't try to follow me through it. And I'm learning that I don't have to let that fear dictate how I walk in the blessing.

Because the same God who made room for me is the same God I have to trust while I'm IN the room. 😭🤍

So every time I unlock that door, turn on those lights, and welcome another beautiful soul into my chair, I'm reminded that this is bigger than hair and makeup.

This is obedience. This is growth. This is a prayer with an address.

And even on the days when I'm scared, I'm still showing up.

Not because I have it all figured out, but because GOD HAS BEEN FAITHFUL EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.

From my third bedroom to my very own salon suite…

MAN OH MANNNN… WHAT. A. TIME. 😮‍💨🤌🏾🏔️

I’ve been anticipating this wedding for what feels like FOREVER, and baby, it did NOT disappoint!!

I’ve done countless weddings in Telluride over the years, but THIS ONE?! This one officially takes the cake! 🥹🤍

Not only did I get to do what I absolutely LOVE, but we got to spend THREE whole days soaking up everything that makes Telluride so freaking special. We didn’t just show up, glam, and hit the road like usual. We got to actually make a whole EXPERIENCE out of it!

The PEOPLE @swimmerhannah . The VIEWS. The FOOD @southernjewelhospitality . The DRINKS @travelbartenders . The LAUGHS. And of course, some absolutely BEAUTIFUL hair and makeup courtesy of yours truly. 💁🏾‍♀️😂

But you know what made it even sweeter? THE TEAM.

Getting to work alongside some of my absolute FAVORITE people in the wedding industry?! Whewwww. When you put a bunch of talented, passionate, genuinely good humans together, something magical happens. Everybody shows up, everybody brings their A-game, and somehow it doesn’t even feel like work.

THIS. IS. WHY. I. LOVE. WHAT. I. DO.

The beauty of this career isn’t just the weddings or the gorgeous destinations. It’s the relationships, the memories, the people you get to create alongside, and the moments that remind you just how blessed you are to be doing something you prayed for.

Telluride, you already had my heart… but this trip?! You outdid yourself. 🥹🏔️

10/10 EXPERIENCE. 100/10 PEOPLE. AND A TEAM I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN WITH IN A HEARTBEAT. 🥂🤍

Babyyyy, the LENGTH, the DENSITY, the HEALTH?! These little heads are out here giving grown-woman hair goals! 😂👏🏾

And can we give these mommas their FLOWERS?! 💐 Because behind all that beautiful, healthy hair is somebody washing, detangling, moisturizing, protecting, and putting in the WORK!

Healthy hair doesn’t happen by accident, especially with our little ones!

MOMMAS, KEEP IT UP!! You’re doing an amazing job loving on those crowns. 👑🤎

SHE DIDN’T KNOW ME FROM A CAN OF PAINT… BUT GOOGLE SAID, “GIRL, I KNOW SOMEBODY!” 😂😮‍💨🤌🏾

And BABYYYY, the rest is history!

Today’s client was a FIRST-TIMER. No referrals. No mutual friends. No twenty questions.

SHE GOOGLED. SHE FOUND ME. SHE BOOKED. SHE PAID HER DEPOSIT. AND SHE SHOWED UP.

CAN THE CHURCH SAY AMENNNN?! 🙌🏾😂

And when I tell you we talked like she’d been sitting in my chair for the last five years?! The conversation was FLOWING, the laughs were LAUGHING, and the hair was getting HAIREDDDD! 😂

She wanted a silk press with some curls for volume, and whewwww… we gave that hair some BODY, BOUNCE, AND A LITTLE PERSONALITY! 😍🤌🏾

But here’s what really got me…

She walked through my door as a complete stranger, trusted me with her crown, and left absolutely LOVING her hair.

THAT PART. RIGHT THERE. 🥹🤍

Sometimes we’re so busy chasing the next big thing that we forget to appreciate the beautiful little moments happening right in front of us.

A simple Google search brought someone into my chair who may have never found me otherwise.

And I don’t take that lightly.

Because while I’m over here doing hair, God is still over there making connections I couldn’t have planned if I tried.

GOOGLE MAY HAVE GIVEN HER THE DIRECTIONS… BUT GOD KNEW EXACTLY WHERE TO SEND HER. 😮‍💨🙌🏾🤍

Because BABYYYY, who convinced y’all that short hair means you have to settle for short-hair OPTIONS?!

NOT IN THIS CHAIR, HONEY! 💅🏾

You see a lob. I see possibilities.

You see hair that barely touches your shoulders. I see a little tucking, a little sculpting, some strategic pinning, and a WHOLE LOTTA potential. 😍

And before you know it…

THAT LOB IS SITTING IN A LOW BUN LIKE SHE’S BEEN GROWING HER HAIR OUT FOR THREE BUSINESS YEARS. 😂🔥

Now, every head of hair is different, and technique matters. But this is why I love what I do. Sometimes it’s not about adding more hair… it’s about knowing how to work with what’s already there.

SHE CAME IN WITH A LOB AND LEFT WITH AN UPDO THAT HAD EVERYBODY QUESTIONING THE LENGTH.

Because I’m over here trying to admire the HAIRSTYLE, but the HAIR itself keeps stealing the whole dang show. 😂😍
