storytime bc today was lowkey stressful
•••
so i got a letter saying that my license was about to expire and i had to go renew it but there was also like a problem with it bc we couldn’t find my birth certificate. so we went on a wild goose chase trying to find my birth certificate bc i was born in a country and now i live in a different country anyway so basically i have 2 birth certificates. anyway we couldn’t find one of the certificates so my mom and i were freaking out thinking we’d have to go into the city and talk to some agency about getting a replacement certificate which would be a hassle. luckily we found the certificate and we were able to figure out the license thing but it’s always just really stressful being born somewhere else and living in another country now bc yk they have to like verify all the things and it’s just a long process. my brain always goes to the worst case scenario and thinks things like “they’re not gonna accept the certificates” “they’re gonna think im lying about who i am” “they’re gonna question why i have 2 different birth certificates” or just like stuff like that. and my mom was freaking out which stressed me out too (though i knew i had to keep my cool bc she was stressed and only one of us can freak out at a time lmao). but luckily we got it sorted!

hi flanaverse friends. so i wanna share my personal thoughts on carrie. disclaimer: i will need to explain the situation bc i actually haven’t started the series yet but i promise there’s a point to this post (possible spoilers if you haven’t seen it)
•••
so idk if im actually gonna watch carrie. i would like to. i saw the 2013 carrie with chloe grace moretz and it lowkey traumatized me when i was like 11 watching it. anyway, i’ve been in a horror sabbatical for the past 2 ish years because of a lot of stuff in my personal life. anyway, ive slowly been easing myself back into certain kinds of horror. ive been very selective. so far ive been able to watch hush (2016), bly manor, midnight mass, and the 2002 ring. and thats pretty much it. i talked to my aunt (who’s a horror lover and i trust her word) and she called me and told me that she needed to warn me there was a character who’s like a groomer starting a cult or something and she said that i could honestly skip this series and it’d be no harm no foul so idk. im on the fence about watching it but based on what my aunt told me, idk if i will. maybe ill start the first episode and see how it goes but idk. so im sorry to dad (aka mike) but i might sit this one out.
