📍Iceland

I just planned and hosted my first creator fly away!

I had the pleasure to fly in 10 incredible creators from all over Europe to see the very best @laufey play not only her hometown show - but the biggest show an Icelandic artist has ever done in the country.

This was such a once in a lifetime experience and I want to say a hugeee thank you to Team Laufey & @awal for trusting me to execute this.

We couldn’t have done it without our incredible partners @icelandair & @hilton

And to all my new friends who made the experience so amazing. @laraaceliaa @elizabrowne_ @thisartperson @angelsign_ @maya_nilsen @amandaedins @liandrasadzo.off @juliaadang @christian.suen @danielkraaijeveld_

And lastly, again thank you @awal. You continually show the true meaning of development through artists AND staff x taken in Reykjavík, Iceland by @beccacbarry

AWAL CREATOR FUND 2026

We closed out the first year of the AWAL Creator Fund last night and whilst I’m not done or even slowing down, I wanted to say a few key thank you’s!

Firstly, a huge thank you to every tastemaker, industry professional and specialist who lent their time and expertise - @gee_derrick @lockdownt_ @teon_tiz @chiiiimene @a1234music Sinead, Tyler & especially Arif who took the time to teach us about IP Law and how to protect yourself in our masterclass day!

Secondly, to the team who worked so hard to make it possible every week @lemontankagency @fridgeplug @lolakpl - dream team

A shout out to @ukrapnumbers for making my whole year featuring the fund and to every other creator who shared it far and wide. We had over 130+ applicants! The demand is there!

@musicweekinsta thank you for your support - brb printing each of these out and framing!!

Thank you so much to @fay.pritchard @breantonia & Kyle who mentored our winners in their own time for the last 6 months.

Of course, thank you to @ionabielby @gigswithglenn @akerokoye for allowing us to play a small part in your huge journeys. The ideation, drive, passion and storytelling is all yours and it’s been a real privilege to see it close up. Some highlights:

Iona - I don’t think I’ll ever forget the feeling of calling you about Finn, my face hurts smiling about it. Your genius is so present in the video and I can’t wait to see you takeover

Glenn - I mean you are just the king of festivals, your shift at Leeds this year was outstanding and I can’t wait for everyone to see the James & Day We Ran content!

Aker - our brainstorms were really my highlight, you are so inquisitive and receptive. I can’t wait for the world to see the pilot … its amazing

Ultimately, @samuelpottss @awal for applying your principles of development to the creator community. It’s above and beyond and the most fulfilling part of my career.

Last but defo not least - having all our curator community come together last night proved 1 thing to me - I’m the most grateful for how supportive you are to each other. It is everything and more.
