This weekend blew me away… From competing amongst the biggest star studded roster I’ve ever seen in my short ARA career, to pushing through 18 tough AF stage miles and another 30 or so on transit on a busted tie rod, to actually being in a fight for position in class and pushing for the win (@ghostfaceracing I was coming for y’all at the end! 😝) @overmountain_rally you did not disappoint!!!! Ended up P2 in class which moved me into the top spot for the ARA East Regional Driver Championship in L2WD. Considering I was standing at the bottom of a cliff next to my upside down broken car last year (and questioning my life’s choices 🤪) just finishing this season clean was my main goal… Being in any sort of position for podium was something I hadn’t even thought about… and to be able to do it twice in 2 events is just so amazing and I’m still digesting the season!! HUGE thank you to the ARA organizers, First Responders and Volunteers for everything you do- We couldn’t indulge our “crazy” without all of you!! My heartfelt thanks to @taborracingteam @ktaborfpc Zack @krypto_motorsports @krypto_motorsports196 Dunker Jr @saintyago and @elsaam01 for your help in getting that tie rod sorted out so I could go back out and race! Of course my Ride or Die husband and crew chief Matt who makes ALL this possible (No, he is NOT my dad folks 😝) and my MIL Cassie who is nuts enough to come out to these things and crew for me all season! @jbruns29 @makisarally and @ghostfaceracing was a great fight all weekend! Congratulations on your result! To all the competitors, it was awesome racing with you at this one… Every finish is something to be proud of… Gulf of TN and Big Clifty swallowed up some good ones this weekend! And of course my navvie @bpsubawho who jumped in last minute, helped guide me writing my own pace notes for only the 2nd time and keeping us neat and clean for a solid finish… This rally had a LOT of notes! Super job! 🩵. Now time to go re-prep and gear up for next season… 2026, it’s been real! Thank you everyone who has provided encouragement and support this season. Following the final event on the ARA calendar, I’m excited to finally have my first ever position in the East Regional Driver standings for L2WD- Being in the TOP spot no less is absolutely incredible! Here’s to one hell of a 2027 rally season! Lots of things are being learned… love this crazy sport! Changed out the LSD to a mini spool on the Mustang so it can do donuts for an upcoming project. This has been our little “Mad Max” car since we started this motorsports focus adventure 15 years ago! It’s been parked for several years- Took her out, dusted her off and changed out the rear with some modifications to the axles for C clips clearance. First test seems like it’ll work! by @beccagt

Before anyone rolls their eyes and goes, oh gee another car post, please hear me out. Not too long ago, I didn’t have the luxury of having cars that were even solid enough to get back and forth to work in the city, let alone have a well sorted rally car AND a drift car for fun! I’m so damn grateful every day for the opportunities that have allowed a bit more wiggle room in the budget to actually pursue motorsports as a passion, not just a hopeful dream. And the amazing man who helps make it all happen and has taught me how to wrench on our own cars so we may maintain these things and continue to learn and grow as drivers in the Motorsport world. We have come so far, and still have so much to continue to learn… I just want to thank the universe for allowing us to reap the benefits of damn hard work. And as the 2026 season comes to a close, I can’t help but feel very proud of the blood, sweat and tears it took to build these cars out to what they are now… Keep up the good fight everyone. The Fluidlogic Wave system has been a game changer for my rally car and drift car hydration options. It integrates seamlessly into the layout with a sturdy quick release bracket that mounts securely to the cage. The hose may be trimmed to length easily and the bite valve is held in place with a magnetic anchor that easily attaches to the roll bar within easy reach of drive or co-driver. The bite valves may be easily cleaned in H2O2 for sanitizing and makes the system perfect for drivers/co-drivers who are sick of fumbling with camelback bags and loose water bottles all over the place.

My system incorporates the 64oz water canisters and I “rally” tested it for the first time at Overmountain which proved to be a super hot and muggy event which required adequate intake of water during the race- The system proved to be simple to fill, even simpler to use and the canisters even held ice overnight which was surprising considering the temperatures inside the car!

With all the storms this weekend, just wanted to share a PSA regarding falling trees… Last week, during the haul home from the Overmountain Rally in TN, Matt was ahead about 5 minutes pulling the camper and I was driving the rig- Excited to get home and about a mile from the house, a large dead tree fell right into the dually windshield and bounced back and destroyed the roof and side of the race trailer for good measure. Thankfully, besides a face full of glass, I escaped without a scratch. But if I had been in a car, my face would undoubtedly been rearranged somehow- Maybe worse. Thankfully insurance will cover the dually- the trailer not so much so we’re sorting that out… But please keep an eye to the roadside… There are LOTS of overhanging branches and trees everywhere- and the high rain and winds may cause them to break and fall… Just wanted to share my experience so everyone may be a bit more aware as they’re driving around.
