Second 5K of the year and this one was for a cause close to my heart 💜

The Charlie Mugga Teenage Cancer Run 2026 brought together community, culture and purpose in the most powerful way — raising awareness, championing early diagnosis and reminding us all to stay active and give back. 41 minutes, 5K done in the UK heat and I’d do it all again 🏃🏾‍♀️👑

Reflecting on a special visit with Spark Worldwide, honoring an invitation from our 2016/17 Queen, Bridget Katungi @brikatungi ✨️

Spark Worldwide does incredible work empowering and supporting young mothers in Uganda. During our visit to the Canaan Christian Centre in Matendo, Luweero District, we had the privilege of connecting with 10 resilient young mothers (ages 14–17).

Together, we listened to their stories, sang, prayed, shared experiences, and distributed essential care packages for their daily needs. It was a deeply moving day of fellowship, encouragement, and community. 🙌🏼

Thank you for the amazing work you arw doing and looking forward to many more partnerships. 🙏🏼♥️

I think I want to be a radio host. There, I said it. 🎙️

Our day at @nrgradioug was one I didn’t expect to love as much as I did. We talked about my reign as Miss Uganda UK, everything we got up to during the trip, my personal interests — it was one of those conversations that just flowed. Naturally, comfortably, joyfully. I walked out of that studio feeling lit up.

A huge thank you to @mrhenrie, @primasiimwe and @djbeats_ug for having us — the warmth and welcome they showed us was everything. We also got to gift the hosts which was such a special moment. 🤍

And because Uganda never does anything by halves — we ended the day with a photoshoot alongside the current Miss Uganda @muhozatriviaelle , captured by the talented @photo4fashion.

Ugandan traditional wear deserves its flowers and this shoot was my way of giving them. 🇺🇬👑

The Gomesi. The Mushanana. The Suuti. Three completely different silhouettes, three different parts of Uganda, three different stories worn on the body.

As a Muganda woman, slipping into a Gomesi on home soil felt like something I can’t quite put into words. And being able to honour the dress of other Ugandan tribes too — the Banyankole, Batooro, Banyoro, Bakiga — felt like a privilege.

Entebbe Botanical Gardens was the most perfect backdrop for all of it. 🌿

Have you ever been served breakfast in sign language? 🤟

Jinja, you really did that.

From waterfalls steeped in Buganda history at Sezibwa Falls, to breakfast at @sikiacafe , Uganda’s very first café staffed entirely by deaf employees — this day was full of moments I genuinely didn’t expect. The Gogolo Slides @misolibeach gave us a rush and the Uganda Railway Museum gave us perspective. A perfect day from start to finish.

But honestly? @sikiacafe stopped me in my tracks. There is something so intentional and so powerful about a space created entirely for and by the deaf community. I walked out of there with my heart full and my eyes opened a little wider. 🤍

We ended the day grateful, tired and already wanting to go back.

Huge thank you to @hayatsafaris who sponsored and organised every single moment of this trip. They are more than tour guides — they are storytellers of this beautiful country. If Uganda is on your travel list, look them up. You will not regret it. 🇺🇬🙏🏾👑
