🥈 at Northern California 70.3 yesterday 😃and booked a spot for 70.3 worlds for next year 🙂

Proud of the fight I had yesterday, started the week sick and didn’t do anything from Tuesday until Friday I finally woke up finally feeling better 😌
.
Pushed better power and ran faster than Boise so positives to take away and excited when fully healthy to see what I can do 🙂
.
Congrats @grace.alexander92 for the win 🏆 super strong all race and @howdy.its.bear a close third 👏 keeping me on my toes with 30 secs apart at end!
.
Awesome inaugural event by @ironmanamericas 👏 the community was fantastic, lots of people camping out at end of driveways with signs, cow bells and cheering loudly 🙏 and the swim, bike and run courses were fantastic! 🙌 highly recommend!

5th place at Boise 70.3 yesterday, my highest finish in a pro series 70.3 😀
.
Firstly very thankful after a slightly delayed start and adjusted swim course due to conditions that we still had a full swim for pros 🙂 🙏
.
I really struggled to find my legs and rhythm at the start of the bike and with a few mechanicals in races this year I’m feeling more nervous & honestly was just a bit of a negative nancy to myself on the bike 🙃 (next race aim for more positive thoughts) while my power was lacking, still averaged nearly 40km/hr with a solo bike
.
Pulled myself together after a slow first km on the 🏃‍♀️ and found better legs in the last 10km to move from 7th into 5th place 🙂 I really enjoyed the run course on the Boise green belt by the river with thankfully lots of shade and lots of support by spectators and volunteers 👏
.
Boise has been a fun town to visit and hang with friends and meet other athletes post race 🙂

🥉 at Ironman Cairns on Sunday 🙂 bittersweet to make my first podium here 🙌 ticking off ☝️ of 4 main goals for the race but falling short on the other 3…..
.
Which were to do: sub 9 hr, run marathon pb and qualify for Kona —> set myself up well from the swim and riding controlled in the conditions, at 35km my right aerobar came loose and thought I might be out of contention if it wasn’t fixed (I had to hold it for 15km but grateful it wasn’t too long before a mechanic rode up and a few mins on the side of the road to fix) 🙏 proud I kept mostly calm and told myself anything can happen
.
It was a very solo day on the bike but felt the strongest at the end into the headwind I’ve been at this race. I had no back pain which has been an ongoing issue I’ve worked hard to fix so that’s one very big positive and confidence going forward 🙂
.
Run was good for first 21km and fought to hold onto 2nd place, knowing it’s never finished until the end but the wheels fell off in that last lap 🫠 with the time on the side with the mechanical this error was costly for me, feel l’ve had my fair share of them lately so every bolt will be triple checked next time ✔️
.
Massive congrats to my good friend @pen_slater for her first Ironman win, so deserved and seen firsthand how hard this girl works 🫶 and to @tri_skye kept me on my toes throughout the marathon and congrats on securing your first Kona spot 👏 .
.
Looking forward to getting home for a reset and then still plenty of exciting races to come 🙂

Definitely feeling the FOMO watching Kona unfold this year 🌺🌊🚴🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

Missing being there, the energy, the atmosphere, the familiar roads, time with friends and other athletes and all the memories that come with racing on the Big Island.

Three times in Kona have given me some pretty special memories, and while it’s hard not to wish I was there again this year, it’s also a good reminder of how much I do want to race it again and have a better day there.

Soaking up the FOMO for now… and already planning to be back next year. 🤞🏼🌺

Wishing everyone racing the best day!! Enjoy that finish line🙌 it’s going to be exciting race and I’m looking forward to watching it unfold 📺

4th place 🍫 at Sunshine Coast 70.3 on Sunday, the weather was four seasons ☀️ ☔️ 💨 🌧️ and reflected how I felt 🫠

Some days you just feel crap (hello worst timing of cycle and little sleep) and that’s part of sport and racing 😌 knew from the first stroke of the swim but proud of how I battled on to the finish 👊

Congrats to @dr_hannah_wells for the 🏆 (watch out Kona) super strong and the rest of the pro ladies 👏 pushing each other out there 🙂

Thanks @ironmanoceania for putting on another great event and it’s great to race close to home 🙂

Looking forward to heading home soon and building for one last race of the year 😃

☀️ Sunshine Coast 70.3 this Sunday, last 70.3 of the year so ready to push for a good one 🙂

Third time racing here; 2017 my third ever 70.3 (long time on the side of the road with a puncture🙃) but grateful to have my Mum watching as one of the last races she got to ❤️ and winning in 2023 so special memories here and look forward to adding to them this weekend! 🫶

🍻 to a great 7 week stint in 🇺🇸 on the West Coast 🙂

Trained in Washington, raced in Idaho and California, saw some of Oregon 🙂

Saw some epic scenery (Mount Rainer) 🏔️

Triathlon is a truly great way to spend so much time outdoors, explore and meet new people 🫶
