First post in forever, but this is important! Plus, I'm hearing from stressed-out content creators who heavily rely on TikTok. Here's what we suggest ahead of the potential TikTok ban: 1. Don't stress. Yes, this sucks, but there are multiple other ways to continue building your brand, reaching your followers, and making income. Social media will always be uncontrollable to an extent; it's part of the game. 2. If you want to reuse and repurpose, download your TT content. If you are someone who creates content often, you don't need to worry about it, as you'll continue to create new content for other platforms and likely won't repurpose it anyway. 3. Make sure your other platforms (Instagram, especially) link out to where people can find you. People will go from TT to other social platforms and every single platform should have a directory of important links and locations to find you and shop your life. Websites are always the best to link to as a home base for all things YOU. 4. Never rely on one platform, especially one you don't control. This is why most of our clients have websites (even simple, small ones) & email lists so that you have control over your content. With websites and emails, you'll always have a direct line of communication with your audience. Much more stable than social platforms. 5. Invest time or delegate revenue streams, like affiliate networks (@shop.ltk @shopmy @amazon), email lists, websites, etc. You should always have multiple streams that, again, you can control. Now more so than ever! 6. Remember that Pinterest is a HUGE, untapped market for many brands and creators. Think outside of the typical social media apps for passive discoverability. We currently have a waitlist for most of our services, but the above is exactly what we do (+ more) so reach out if you need to build your brand past TikTok.
