LATE & NEW UPDATE: 6/19/26 Day +22 (Yes its a Long Post) MY LOVERFACE WAS RELEASED THE HOSPITAL!!!! 🙌🏼 His labs showed the DONORS CELLS GRAFTED into his body & since he was stable, we were released to go LATE Monday night!!! ❤️🥰🙏🏼🙌🏼 I do apologize for being a few days late on this update but Its been a VERY BUSY 2 weeks for me believe it or not… It’s wild how much stuff you have to do when preparing for something like this.. there’s actually a lot no one sees or that you even know about until you get to that part in the journey. Anywho… 🥴 Prior to release, I had to go to pick up his LONG LIST of post transplant meds from CVS & then go over them with the hospital doctor & pharmacist. After release, I had to sanitize the apartment, unload the car & unpack everything!! I didn’t get done till almost midnight. (It felt like we were moving into our first apt all over again cause it’s a pretty empty) 🤣 The next morning I went grocery shopping to get all the basics, some essentials & food for the week that we needed because he can only eat healthy home cooked meals (for the most part), then I washed all his laundry from the hospital. Since his discharge, we’ve had two 3 hr long follow-up appts so far. At Wednesday’s appt, his labs came back ok overall. Some decent, some not. His kidneys are pretty irritated, inflamed & elevated still so they gave him some more fluids as well as a WBC injection since that came back low as well. We actually just got back from his second follow up & his since his blood pressure has been dropping into the low 70s & his kidney levels are still elevated. Dr adjusted a couple of the meds to hopefully bring that one up & the other down a bit. They also rechecked his urine again because his last sample showed a trace of blood in it, so they think his bladder or his pipes might still be inflamed as well. Gosh, I LOVE being back home!!!! 🏡 I couldn’t WAIT to stir & bake up FernanDOUGH & Dolly (Doughlene) Parton when we got back!! I’ve also been baking up some sweet treats for the family again! ❤️ I made Kylie & Hudson’s favorite, a regular sourdough loaf as well as mine & Sean’s favorite, a jalapeño & cheddar loaf!! They turned out PERFECT!!! I’ve also made another one of my favorite things to make, Cobbler!! This one was a blueberry banana cobbler! It’s been a weird day for me, A very heavy day. Seven years have passed since the day we lost the quiet strength that held us all, the rock to our family. My beautiful Nana ❤️ I love you still and miss you more than words can hold. The years have moved but nothing has filled the space you left.. Our family has drifted, some far away, and the holidays feel softer, much quieter nor will they ever be the same. I find myself missing your warm hugs, your gentle back scratches, your sweet kisses, the laughter that lit the room and your smile that made everyone feel safe. I miss our talks that wandered nowhere and everywhere, the gatherings that felt complete because you were there, the simple comfort of your hand in mine. 💔 Time keeps turning, but my love for you does not. Our poor boy!! He did such a great job though!! 🥺 We were able to get him in for allergy prick testing & WOWZA!!!! He is allergic to all kinds of stuff! Many different trees & bushes as well as fungus, mold, cats, dogs, feathers and even cockroaches 🤢 He also has some fruit allergies to watermelon, strawberry and oranges! In about four weeks he will start immunotherapy, thats where he goes in and gets an injection once a week for about 8 to 12 weeks so his body will slowly learn that the pollen is harmless, stopping the allergic reaction before it starts!! Which is amazing!! Then if still needed, he would only have to have a once a year allergy shot. We will also be doing patch testing to check for other allergies to chemicals and other products like Christy did when she was little. We are SOOO happy that we know now why over the last spring season why he started sneezing uncontrollably & why his face would puff up so badly out of nowhere!! 25 years later… 9/11/2001 I still remember this day so vividly… Sitting in History class of my Junior Year of Highschool.. Witnessing the towers being hit & falling… People jumping to their dispise to avoid burning to death… I do want to say this though. NO matter WHO is responsible for this tragedy.. (We all know who really is) It will forever be the day that changed our Country forever. It was the day we were no longer republicans or democrats, it was the day came together as a nation, as one. Two very important days to me as well as so many others all over the country & world.. 9/10… Crushed me… This man was without a doubt gonna be our future President. The saddest thing is his life was taken because he wanted people to have open conversations, open debates, get educated & know the truth about anything & everything... UPDATE: 9-4-26 WE GOT SEAN’S BLOOD CLONOSEQ RESULTS BACK AND….. 😭😭😭 ITS AT ZEROOOOOOOOOO!!!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 HE IS IN FULL REMISSION!!!! ❤️🥰😭🥹🙏🏼🙌🏼 For those who may not know, ClonoSEQ is an incredibly sensitive test they do with blood and bone marrow that looks for tiny amounts of remaining cancer cells at a molecular level. A result of ZERO means they could not detect any measurable cancer in his sample. After everything Sean has been through, seeing that ZERO is absolutely EVERYTHING to us!!! 😭❤️ AND THAT’S NOT ALL!!!! 😁 They also repeated his chimerism test and his blood is STILL 100% HIS DONOR’S CELLS!!!! 🙌🏼😭❤️ The chimerism test helps his doctors determine how well his donor’s blood-forming cells have taken over after his stem cell transplant. Having 100% donor chimerism is incredibly encouraging and shows that his donor cells continue to be fully established in his blood. BOTH OF THESE RESULTS ARE SO ENCOURAGING!!!! ❤️🥹🙏🏼 We are literally CRYING TEARS OF JOY!!!! 😭😭😭 After officially two years of fighting, countless treatments, setbacks, fear, so many prayers and an incredible stem cell transplant… WE ONCE AGAIN GET TO CELEBRATE THIS MOMENT!!❤️ ZERO CANCER. 100% DONOR. ❤️ 15 YEARS TOGETHER. 15 YEARS OF US. ❤️ To the man who is my best friend, never knowing just how much life we would experience together. The good, the bad, the beautiful, the heartbreaking, the moments that made us laugh until we cried and the moments that brought us to our knees. We have been through more together than I ever could have imagined. We’ve faced many storms that I wasn’t sure we would make it through, fought battles we never asked for and endured seasons that tested every ounce of our strength. I also never thought in a million years that we would fight the hardest battle of our lives like we did... But LOOK AT US!!! We did it and came out on top! I thank God everyday that you’re still here with us. But somehow, through every single one of them, we’ve continued to choose each other. ❤️ And here we are… 15 years later. Still standing. Still holding on. Still loving each other. Still choosing US. Through everything life has thrown at us, you have remained my person. My husband, my best friend, my safe place and the one person I want beside me through every chapter. You have given me the greatest gift I could ever ask for, our three beautiful children. Watching you love them, protect them and be their dad has made me love you in ways I didn’t even know were possible. I am so incredibly proud of the life we have built together. It hasn’t always been easy and it certainly has NOT been perfect, but it is ours. And I wouldn’t trade our story for anything. I appreciate you more than words could ever explain. I appreciate the sacrifices you’ve made, the strength you’ve shown, the way you keep fighting when life gets hard, and all the little things you do that sometimes go unnoticed. I see you. I appreciate you. And I hope you always know just how deeply you are loved. After 15 years, I still look at you and know I made the right choice.
