My art group @stmargaretscentrenplayingfield all clubbed together to pay for a clay figure sculpting experience from a life model, and lovely lunch! @lovecedarfarm Was so lovely to look at the model from all angles of the same pose and create a sculpture! Loved doing this session with the @artist.in.residence.coop such joyful responses to the children’s illustrators @vandevelde.lucie after looking at the book #houseofhappyspirits which is inspired by #hundertvasser loved getting the chance to inspire adults with this lovely work, as well as the children in my clubs! I will be doing a series of zoom sessions based on children’s illustrators during the summer. by @beckmckim

The great thing about coming to drag and draw is that because the queens are in costume, they are usually happy for you to take photos! This is great if you want to finish a quick pose or spend more time on a painting! This is an oil painting of @johnnyhumes from a photo I took on the night! Its only my second portrait in oils, I am enjoying the challenge! Our next drag and draw event is on August the 18th @the Carlton Club see my bio for tickets. by @beckmckim
