Her arguing then making up with her Henchmen is fantastic, and the way Zade just goes along with it like it's another day at the office. Sibby is one of my favorite characters in the series. I can't wait to see how they portray her and her Henchmen in the movie.

Get your boo bucket, check your stash and buckle up for a gothic, dark fairytale with Wonderland and Tim Burton vibes with a not so Charming Prince, an evil Fairy Godmother, and creatures from your nightmares seen in a whole new light. "Not Another Happily Ever" by @a.r.schilling is the perfect read for those who crave curses, love the forbidden, and want to turn the norm upside down.

Review of "Eldrith Manor" by @authorleighrivers
and @avina.stgraves

I was hooked from the dedication:
"To those who desire a love so strong, it kills you...literally."

A demon named Lynx murders Sable, the woman who summons him, and then gets trapped in her family's old manor with her. Ensue the sarcastic banter, tension, and all of the unhinged deliciousness.

The dynamic between Lynx and Sable was written to perfection. The slow burn, true enemies to lovers was the chef's kiss. And when they finally reached the f-it moment? Holy Hell, Satan was probably blushing right along with me. Who would have thought the spice between a demon and a ghost could be so intense.

The way they fight their feelings for one another along with both their actual and inner demons was tragically beautiful. They are flawed and imperfect and neither think they're good enough and deserve to pay gor their past sins. How they healed each other on their journeys of self discovery was inspiring.

And Tony? I loved him! He is best friend goals. The self-appointed wingman and Lynx's best hellhound shifter friend provided much needed comic relief. How he just kept showing up at inoportune times, ruining moments and dropping truth bombs was hysterical.

No spoilers, but the final chapters nearly broke me. The ending was everything I hoped for, and the epilogue was perfection.

This book was very well written with the right balance of seriousness and cheeky banter and just the right amount of spice. 5 stars to a very delightful read that is perfect for spooky season.

Holy gods this book! I was immediately drawn in my the dark academia setting with witches and vampires, and I am a sucker for a good why choose, but the story was fantastic as well.

Alicent, the FMC, is new Veilcrest and has the worst first day ever. Enter Pryce to save the day, and that starts the whirlwind journey that turns her world upside down. I love how fierce she is and how she takes no crap. She stands up to the five vampires like it's nothing.

The why choose with five hot vampires was delicious. I loved and hated them all depending on the place in the book, but without a doubt my favorites were Bastian and Elias. They were the two all in on Alicent from the get go. Each had their own gifts and qualities that made them unique, and I was drooling during the spicy scenes. I just wish there were more group activities if you catch my drift. 😉 The important part was that no matter what, they are ready to burn the world for their girl

The main story centers around Alicent and her magical bloodline. Her ancestor, Veil, is the reason her men are cursed as vampires. I do love how they each grew to love Alicent in spite of that and didn't blame her for her connection to Veil. You can't choose your relatives after all.

I don't want to give away spoilers, but that twist at the end left me jaw dropped. I am unwell and need book 2 immediately because how could that happen and then I ends? I am hooked on these vampires and their witch, and I will be waiting with bated breath for the next installment.

Review of "Tallow and Bone" by @rhiannonhargadon

This is without a doubt the best book I've read all year. Five stars doesn't do it justice. A tragically, beautiful retelling of the Salem Witch trials and the poisonous effects it had on its citizens. This story chronicles a witch, Amity, and her new life in Salem after fleeing with her family.

I had mixed feelings on Amity as the FMC. She is very immature and rash. Her decision making was questionable at times. She did grow so much during the story though as she juggled her feelings for two very different men: a witch and a cobbler in what was the best love triangle I've ever read.

The Witch is dark, angsty, broody, and volatile. He pushes Amity to be her true self. He is also a wild, untamed lover. The scenes with him were absolute fire.

George is a near literal saint. He loves Amity and provides for her despite her hardly ever being honest with him. He cared for her and the child and was an honorable man. A side note: George is a saint in the streets and a demon between the sheets. Amity is a lucky lady to have two endowed, passionate lovers.

As different as the men are, they are both unquestionably devoted to Amity in their own ways. I love that there is no 100% right or wrong choice, and was even hoping for a why choose.

I applaud the author for including Amity's battle with postpartum depression and the real toll it takes on a woman's body and psyche even going so far as to not having an immediate bond with the child. Bravo!

I will not spoil it, but the ending left me in tears. I sobbed, and it was not pretty. This book finished me. Then the epilogue started to heal me. An absolute 6 star masterpiece.

Once again Sarah J. Maas gas literally blown my mind with all of the plot twists, truth bombs, and fate-changing info dropped in the last 100 pages of Crescent City 2. Guess I'll pick my jaw up off the floor and start book 3.

Review of "Ligula" by Alair Novak.

What do you get when a Leviathan and a Siren hook up? A twisted, depraved, horrific tale of murder, mayhem, and lust that's what.

If you told me that I was going to love a character that looked like Davy Jones from "Pirates of the Caribbean", I might have rolled my eyes. Now I will say that Riptide is the standard. The male is all in on his woman. Nautica is a lucky, lucky lady especially in the bedroom.

The spice was hot, and the descriptiveness of the tentacles? Let's just say that Alair did her research when it came to octopus mating. The twist it took at the end though? Damn. I was not expecting that at all, and I'm not easily caught off guard. I felt like I fell next to one of those "Slippery when wet" signs and am staring at the ceiling dumbfounded. Definitely worth a read if you're wanting something completely unhinged.
