Day 7. The last day at sea🥺
I had to try so hard to put ‘home’ to the back of my mind. But somehow it worked and Thursday was just as amazing as every other day.
Plus, I got to see Jane twice (the road to number one and the farewell show) so that was the biggest positive!

This cruise has been one of the best times of my life, really. I’ve had so much fun and met so many wonderful people who I already can’t wait to boogie and gossip with again on next year’s cruise.

I’ve spent so long trying to find somewhere to belong… who’d have thought it would end up being on a cruise ship with a bunch of fantastic people of all different ages and backgrounds with a common denominator in our Jane? 🥰

I’m happy. It’s bittersweet to have reached the end of the week, but I really am so grateful to have had this amazing time away.

Thank you to everyone for being so kind and caring.

Day 6! Honfleur 🇫🇷
No one wants rain when they’re on holiday but I had secretly been hoping for just a little drizzle so that I could finally get some use out of our lil gifted brolly’s! ☔️
Honfleur was great, beautiful buildings, interesting history and a bloody lovely omelette! I also ransacked yet another chocolatier. So, I should have enough to tide me over until the Christmas chocolates come out haha.

We spent the night in our own makeshift Nashville for Jane’s second headlining show at the palladium. And what a night it was!! I’d woken up with a croaky voice and a sore throat, and so had Jane (thank you for sharing your germs with me Ms McDonald, but I would have been happy with just the toilet brush mind you)
Despite the sore throat, Jane was incredible, you wouldn’t have even known she was under the weather. I on the other hand found it a struggle to “woo” as loud as previous nights because my voice decided to tear itself to shreds. But who cares. Jane was on stage, I was in her audience, dancing and crying and laughing and desperately trying to forget that ‘tomorrow’ was going to be our last full day. Day 5. Cherbourg 🇫🇷
Another beautiful day exploring off the ship. We strolled along the harbour, stopped for tea and a croissant and did a little shopping (silly me forgot to pack one of my shoes and was in desperate need of a second black boot. Thankfully Cherbourg H&M came in clutch lol)
Wore my gorgeous new Carol C suit and was stopped complimented by so many people. I’d only walk a few feet before getting a little passing comment or a tap on the shoulder to tell me “that suits you” (some were oblivious to the pun they’d made, others revelled in it). One lady said she almost didn’t recognise me without the toilet roll hahaha.

By the evening I’d done a little stint on karaoke (Venus of course, and some Sonny and Cher with my new pal Carole).

Then it was time to laugh until my face ached at Brian Conley. The man has funny bones! Such a great day💙🤍❤️

What can I even say about day 4???
Quite possibly the best day of my life.
If you’d told me that morning that in a few hours time I’d be on stage with Jane McDonald, getting wrapped up in toilet roll in front of a thousand people… yeah I probably would have believed you because stuff like this seems to keep happening to me😂
To be serious though; this moment meant the world. To be able to speak to Jane and exchange I love you’s with a big warm hug was everything to me💖

Then of course I have to mention the fact that being wrapped in toilet roll resulted in me winning a rhinestone toilet brush and £100 voucher to spend at Carol C Collections, where I bought that very suit Jane has on in these photos/videos. I knew I needed it the moment I saw it, and thanks to a beach ball and random luck… I now have it hanging in my wardrobe (it’s actually in my suitcase now but you know what I mean)

Later that night, Billy & Louie brought the house (ship) down with their gorgeous voices and performance.

Day 3 with my queen of land and sea.
Belgium! Went to see the flanders fields war graves and walked around the museum. Not exactly the usual holiday jaunt but it was interesting. After that it was chocolate, chocolate, chocolate.🍫 and the sunshine was glorious!

By night, I was back in the palladium this time for Jane’s first headline show of the week. She absolutely smashed it (as always). Day 2! Such a gorgeous day out in Amsterdam, then on to the palladium to see the amazing Mary Mac. Laughed and cried! Hilarious and touching! She is in a word ‘incredible’ ✨

Finally! The time arrived for the holiday of my dreams! Sailing the seas with the Queen herself; Jane McDonald. The countdown is over and this wonderful week has begun! Day 1 was amazing albeit a looong day of travel. But totally worth it.

What an incredible tour🤩 last night was my last stop following our Jane around the country, and it was in a word; amazing.
I’ve had the best time🥰 but no time to be sad that it’s ended, I need to pack! We’re cruising in less than a week!!
