I can’t find my words from behind the tears. 💔I adore this wonderful woman and was blessed to share ten years of my life across the hall from her while teaching at LES…but the friendship and close bond didn’t end there. We were like family, our team, and no doubt had become forever friends even as we moved on to different schools and retirement. Her friendship, laughter, smile, silliness, love for dogs and Donny Osmond, her kids and her beloved Grant, and our “dream team” —-all that was Sherry, Sher, my BFF and Mrs. Hitt to so many students —will forever hold my hand and heart. ❤️💕❤️Taking a moment from packing to sit and reflect on the recent days spent with my baby girl, my first born-my Rebekah. Having moved to Chicago in May I have been counting down the days for her return home to share our new home with her snd spend a most special night together. You see, in a way we grew up together —I, a young first time momma and she, my baby girl. We listened to music together, watched tv together, watched movies together —I watched what she watched, I listened to what she listened to—and while we were doing what we did —young “ Lizzie McGuire “entered the world of Disney in the early 2000’s and we quickly began falling in love with the teen actress and soon to be musical success, @hilaryduff @hilarydufftour @hilaryduff.hq —the one and only Hilary Duff. We’ve followed her from young actress, to musical superstar, movie star, and mother of four who stepped away from music to do other projects and raise her children- until now! When she announced her new album- the first in over two decades,we ordered our copies and secured tickets to her world wide tour. Fast forward…this past Wednesday that young mother and little girl stepped back in time and soaked up every sweet, dance filled, nostalgic moment —singing at the top of our lungs—the songs of our youth and new songs we’ve grown to love. Rebekah Jane, I love you dearly and thank you for coming home to enjoy our girl together, it will join my collection of beloved and unforgettable memories with you ❤️ Thank you Hilary for touching the souls of millennials and their mommas, everywhere. Golly❤️Time is a thief❤️This little nugget, my baby, our Niko was born 30 years ago today —how does one go from 0-30 in what sometimes feels like a heartbeat? We reflected on the speed of time today and he said, “ Somedays feel like weeks but the years go so quickly”. Yes, I agreed. How can he be 30, we both pondered. The mystery of life speeding by us has yet to he figured out by me, but I am so thankful God gave me a little girl and a baby boy to share it with. Happy birthday Nikolaus Lee.
