The best part of this job will always be the people. We get the privilege of walking alongside incredible families as they plan one of the most meaningful days of their lives, and honestly, I still can’t believe this is what I get to do. Ella dreamed of an elevated garden party filled with soft blush blooms, layered greens, and a joyful atmosphere where her favorite people could gather and celebrate. Watching her and her mom step into the reception tent for the first time, seeing every detail come to life before guests arrived, was a moment I’ll never forget. There is not much we love more than a beautiful transformation! When we began discussing Margaret’s color palette and what inspired her, we knew that the built in bar at her venue just wouldn’t do. We worked with @prophousebirmingham to transform this existing built-in bar into a statement piece incorporating custom wrought iron inspired detailing reminiscent of the beautiful balconies lining the streets of Paris. An effortlessly classic bride, the sweetest groom, and a celebration inspired by her favorite city. For this Margaret and James’ wedding, we took inspiration from the timeless elegance of Paris, incorporating a classic black-and-white palette, lush white florals, and thoughtful details that felt both sophisticated and romantic. One of our favorite design elements was the custom marble-inspired aisle that led to altar, and when it was time to celebrate? That same aisle became a runway for the reception! But as beautiful as every detail was, nothing compared to watching the groom see his bride for the first time. His reaction was one of those moments that reminds us why we love what we do. A little Parisian romance, a whole lot of Southern hospitality, and a wedding we’ll be dreaming about for a long time. 🤍 Congratulations to our newest newlyweds!! Over the years, I’ve found myself coming back to three things when designing a wedding: the couple, the guest experience and the location. So when you have a view this good, you don’t compete with it; you frame it, allowing the setting and the couple to be the moment. Soft pinks, creams and unexpected touches of green brought just enough color, while the natural cane chairs kept everything feeling light and organic. And then the sun showed up right on cue, as if we planned it that way! 😉 This is a ceremony design we’ll be reminiscing about forever. For the 3rd year in a row, Lyla asked for a mommy-and-me trip instead of a birthday party. I obviously love a good celebration, but these weekends have truly become one of the highlights of my year. We spent the weekend in Nashville with matching pajamas, matching boots, American Girl, shopping, lots of treats, making bracelets, and pretty much letting the birthday girl call the shots. Eight is SUCH a fun age, and I know these years when a weekend away with Mom feels like the greatest thing ever won’t last forever. So I’m soaking up every minute of them while I can.
