A couple of years ago, I attended an International Women’s Day speed networking event and I thought it would be really cool to create something similar for professionals in the energy sector. So I took the step to make it happen!

It’s interesting what changes about a person with time. I find that I try to be a lot more conscious about the opportunities I get and how I use them.

Going back to Cambridge, especially speaking with MCF scholars, is an experience I enjoy. I’d be shocked if that ever changes, because it gives me a distinctively familiar feeling. I’m curious about their stories, their experiences, the similarities, and I’m rooting for them.

I’m committed to telling my stories as authentically as possible. Sharing and learning from people in positions I once was in. Helping in whatever limited way I can, knowing every journey is different, but believing strongly that if we consciously work harder, smarter, and together, consistently reiterating until we get it right, all roads will eventually lead to the places we’re meant to be.

Through the panels I’m lucky enough to participate in, and coffee chats here and there, I can’t help but be reminded of what we can achieve by sharing stories, lessons, strengths, and vulnerabilities, helping one another out on our journeys to becoming.

I like to think I’m a morning person, but tbh it’s really hard some days!

My attempt at having a balanced Saturday.

I’m still not sure how I thought I’d be able to fit 6 hours of work, and do all these other things!

I started my day with a quick workout.

Then I got some breakfast from my fav cafe @zegacoffee

If you’re ever in Kingston, you should try their white chocolate matcha

Because flowers are a girls best friend.

I set goals I know are hard to reach. The point is never to hit every one, but to keep hitting them, one after another

The crash was real

Spent time with my girl!!!! Time flies because tell me how I haven’t seen her in months.

It’s hard to fully capture how this book made me feel. I learnt soo much!

From Andre Agassi’s business and professional partnerships, I learnt that you can achieve a great deal with people who are excellent at what they do, but you can achieve so much more when there’s mutual love, consideration, respect, and, to some degree, trust. It reinforced something I already believed: how essential it is to be surrounded by people who love you. That kind of support keeps you going even when you doubt yourself.

In the book, his father refers to him as lucky. That might be true, but from everything I read, there are other words I’d reach for: loyal, hardworking, generous, and yes, lucky too 😆

Baby steps!

Decided to take into the uncut grass by Trevor Noah with me on a solo holiday. I loved his DOAC episode so much that I decided to buy it!

It’s a very quick read, but I enjoyed it. It made me ask myself how many journeys I’d have taken with more open and honest conversations with my friends and family. I can see why it’s a good children’s book.

I’ve also realised there’s a bit of a theme to my top cities. Miami, Majorca, Cancun… taken in Palma De Mallorca, Islas Baleares, España by @becoming_withab
