I thought that when the time came, I’d know exactly what to write under this post. It’s a day past my birthday, and no, I’m still not the grown-up who knows exactly what to do next.

But I’m finally back near my favorite city, one step closer to the life I’ve dreamed about. I’m surrounded by people who love me and do crazy, beautiful things for me (wink, wink, @polinochkav). I could use a few more friends, but I have time to figure that part out. 🤍

This photoshoot gave me so much more than I expected. It gave me a little piece of myself back. A little piece of my confidence, too. For a moment, I got to step into a dream made up of my role model, my favorite city, my favorite movie—and me.

I’ve been told many times that I look like Audrey. I don’t see it, but I’m honored every time. 🖤

Thank you, my dear @polinochkav, for making this happen. I honestly don’t know how any gift I give you in the future will compare.

I am happy to be with you on your Birthday and build memories together.

I am grateful we are best friends for each other (at least that how I feel) through thick and thin.
And yes we had different times.

But I am sure we both know, we can come to each other with anything, feel when other needs a hug and also dont have a problem to provide "constructive feedback" when not even asked :)

I love you my sister, my friend, my biggest supporter, my honest critic.
And thank you for all growth we both went through and maturity we accomplished.

You are my Christina assuming I’m Meredith, you are my Monica assuming I’m Rachel, you are more than coworker, through different states and different teams, we’ve been by each other side, except the time we would fight like we were married for many years ( inside joke). New York/Fort Myers/Mexico. I even made you share a room with me 🤣 You were there through my heartbreaks and crushes, you were the first person I told I was pregnant, you were there when I cried and screamed and also when I was the happiest. You were always up for my crazy ideas dancing, boxing, you name it… today is very sad for me. 😭 The day you leave me behind as your coworker, but hopefully not as your friend. I’m very happy and excited for the next chapter of your life. But I’ve always been bad at saying goodbyes, no matter how many times I had to do it. I hope your life will be magical and you won’t forget me! Daddy calls you a miracle. I think I would agree. You made me a mom when I least expected it. I felt like I wasn’t ready I wasn’t the best version of myself that I wanted to be when I met you. I thought I needed to be a person you would be proud of: the smartest, the strongest, the fittest, the most accomplished, the coolest, the prettiest, the wisest. The truth is I still learn to be this person for you. And I make mistakes and I grow every day with you. I used to think the parents know it all. I now know the secret: they also figure it out as they go. You are my proudest accomplishment, my hardest challenge, my biggest trigger at times, my strongest motivation, my most valued treasure,my wisest teacher, my all, my everything. Every time you say I love you, you heal a part of me that wasn’t broken by you. @a.bilmes says that you are the unconditional love that I was dreaming of. And I think it might be true. And even though I still struggle to be the best mom and the best version of myself, I hope I’m the best for you. And the best part of me writing it is the fact that you can read it now, you are old enough and smart enough to.
