Hi, I’m Deborah — founder of Becoorie.

Becoorie grew from my lifelong love of beautiful spaces, antiques, quality pieces from times gone by, the coast, the countryside, and living a little more thoughtfully.

With Scottish and Italian roots, I’ve always been drawn to a way of life that values warmth, beauty, family, craftsmanship, kindness and making things last. My Italian roots are full of stories of courage, movement, family and building a life through hard work. My grandfather came to Scotland from Italy, part of that generation who made incredible journeys in search of something better. That spirit of resilience, welcome and creating something meaningful has always stayed with me.

I believe in reusing what is already around us, choosing pieces with history and character, and creating spaces that feel welcoming, layered and full of soul.

From styling interiors and special events, to helping shape spaces like The United Club here in Jersey, and now building Becoorie and Mimosa Café, everything I create is guided by the same ethos: thoughtful living, meaningful design, and beauty with purpose.

Throughout all of my projects, I’m drawn to antiques, reclaimed finds, natural textures and thoughtful details — pieces that tell a story. I love creating spaces that feel warm, welcoming and layered, not only because they are beautiful, but because they are mindful, eco-conscious and, very often, more economical too.

That same thinking carries through to the products I choose — pieces with an ethical story behind them, whether reclaimed, handmade, sustainably sourced, small-batch, reused, repurposed, or simply made by people who genuinely care about how things are created and where they come from.

For me, it is never just about how something looks — it is about how it feels, what it says, and the life it helps create around you.

Next Sunday we’re bringing a little taste of the Mediterranean to Rozel Bay.

Our special guest Turkish chef will be firing up the BBQ and serving a delicious selection of Turkish-inspired grilled dishes and mezze platters, perfect for sharing with friends overlooking the bay.

🔥 BBQ served from 6pm

Gather your friends, settle into the terrace, enjoy a drink in the sunshine and let us do the cooking.

Little corners of Becoorie 🤍

Becoorie has always been about more than interiors. It’s about creating spaces with soul — layered, relaxed, a little rustic, a little coastal, and full of pieces that feel as though they have always belonged.

The terrace at Mimosa is slowly becoming a living expression of the Becoorie ethos: reusing, restoring, mixing old with new, choosing natural textures, and making things feel warm, welcoming and unpretentious.

The Carrara marble table has been repaired for another 10 years of use. The lemon tree is growing for future teas, drinks and little details from the garden. The furniture is chosen to invite people to sit, stay, breathe and enjoy the slower rhythm of Rozel.

This is the “why” behind Becoorie — thoughtful spaces, beautiful things already in circulation, and places that make people feel at home.

For homes, cafés, terraces, corners, rooms and projects with heart.

Before Mimosa Café at Becoorie HQ, there was the feeling behind it all.

So much of what I love — gathered tables, simple food, family, warmth, outdoor living and creating spaces with soul — was shaped by times like these in Italy.

That sense of welcome, beauty in simple things, and people coming together has stayed with me ever since.

Becoorie was always meant to be more than a place. It’s a feeling, and a way of living. And now, with Mimosa Café at its heart, it’s slowly coming to life 🤍

A little update from us at Mimosa Cafe at Rozel Bay - Becoorie HQ🤍☀️💕🥂

For now, we’re open weekends only while we settle in and grow gently.

Opening times
Saturday & Sunday
10am – 4pm

Pop by for coffee, cake, paninis and a relaxed coastal stop in Rozel.

We’re also working hard this week to get our soft Jersey ice cream machine up and running properly — and hopefully ready for this weekend too 🍦

Happy Easter from us at Becoorie 🌿🐣🐰

What a lovely busy way to begin — our first proper weekend, and what a weekend to start with! 🤗☀️

Thank you so much to everyone who popped by, supported us, and cheered us on. It’s all still a work in progress, but we’re so happy to be opening our doors and welcoming people in.

We’ll be open again tomorrow for coffee, light bites, sharing platters and afternoon tea on the terrace 🥂☀️
