I’m Becca, & I’m ELATED to announce that I am now a FULL TIME wedding photographer.I’ve been a photographer since I was 14 years old. I took an intro to photography class freshman year of high school and was hooked. I shot for my high school yearbook and newspaper, took courses, shadowed, assisted; I did everything I could to immerse myself in this craft.Photography has always been my dream career. Over the past few years I wavered and explored other paths but none could compete. Call me idealistic, but I wanted my work to FEEL meaningful, so I went full force into photography again and built it into a real career: no free weekends, plus a lot of early mornings and late nights. All while trying to not burn out.To now say I am a full time wedding photographer is still a pinch-me moment. I cry at every first look, smile at every first kiss, and get goosebumps at every father-daughter dance. This is how I know this career is my purpose.Today also marks the official launch of the NEW Becca Thompson Photography website and branding. I’ve always thought of my photos as love letters: quiet, honest, meant to be kept. When it came time to design a logo with @chloecoffeydesigns, I wanted every piece to carry that meaning. The swan is a symbol of devotion. Swans mate for life, & that kind of steady, chosen love is exactly what I hope to capture on your wedding day. The olive branch she carries is a nod to peace, partnership, and new beginnings. And it’s all framed inside a postage stamp, because that’s what I want my images to be: a love letter sent from one day, meant to be treasured for a lifetime.I am incredibly grateful for every couple who has entrusted me with their engagement or wedding day so far, & I cannot wait to meet my future couples. The sweetest micro-wedding on Block Island this past Sunday for Keleigh & Guy 🫶🏻What a wedding. It was originally supposed to be Monday, and we last minute changed to Sunday to get better weather. Keleigh did her own hair and make up, along with doing her moms. She walked herself down the aisle to 26 by Caamp (one of their favorite bands AND one of mine). Her brother officiated the ceremony & and they exited to The Office theme song. It was exactly how they wanted it.After the ceremony surrounded by their family, we darted around the island for some portraits. Can’t wait to finish the entire gallery. 🫶🏻🥹 by @becthompphoto
