🧠💜 Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week is observed May 1–7 and focuses on the importance of mental health before, during, and after pregnancy.

The National Medical Association is raising awareness to reduce stigma, promote open conversations, and highlight the urgent need for resources and support for mothers experiencing perinatal mental health disorders.

Let’s stand together to support maternal mental wellness — because every mother’s mind matters.

🌟 Thank you for attending the Unity in Action: Black Maternal Health AUC Pre-Med Mentorship Breakfast! 🌸 Brought to you by @dreamhousefoundation and @bedmondproject.

Grateful for everyone who joined us for this impactful event, where we filled our room @cau1988 during Black Maternal Health Week. Together, we brought OBGYNS, medical students from Morehouse School of Medicine, and pre-med students from Morehouse College, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta, Morris Brown, PAUSE, and PCOM to network and discuss women’s health issues. And of course, everyone received free copies of The Quiltmakers to groove into how storytelling spreads awareness around health issues.
The event served as a platform for students to network and be mentored by local physicians, OB/GYN physicians, medical students, and residents, fostering collaboration and support in Atlanta’s maternal health workforce. We’re committed to continuing to encourage and support AUC Pre-Medical/Pre-Health Students as they represent the future leaders in Women’s Health. 💪 #UnityInAction #BlackMaternalHealth #CommunitySupport #AtlantaHealth #hbcu #futuredoctor #youth #dreamers #nonprofit taken in Clark Atlanta University by @bedmondproject
