Created in partnership with @wodetroit, and directed by Ariel Ellis, @hudsonsdetroit Reflections captures the history and legacy of the original J.L. Hudson Department Store through the voices of Detroiters with deep personal connections to the landmark.

Featuring stories from Ed Davis, Aaron Amos, Timothy Burke, and 94-year-old twins Mary and Mildred, the series shares firsthand memories of downtown Detroit across generations

It’s an honor to share that the Hudson’s Detroit Reflections series won a Michigan Emmy Award and the Detroit Love Award at the 2026 D Show. Thank you and congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this project to life!
