I started this account to spread CKD awareness through Mimi journey. People see a few second of a reel. They don’t see the sleepless nights, the fear, watching every breath, or a caretaker trying not to fall apart. I keep telling Mimi ,‘don’t give up’…and some days I quietly whisper those same words to myself.”

For eight years, these hands lovingly cared for Mimi, especially during her battle with chronic kidney disease (CKD). ❤️🐾

Today, it’s Mama’s turn to receive care. In this video, my Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physician is checking my pulse (把脉) to assess my health. I’m also taking prescribed Chinese herbal medicine as part of my treatment.

Mimi, Mama is learning to take better care of herself, one step at a time. ❤️

八年来，这双手一直用爱照顾咪咪，尤其是在她与慢性肾病抗争的日子里。❤️🐾

Such a precious moment between little Fayra and Miu Miu. 🥰🐾❤️

Mimi was the one who brought our families together. I’m forever grateful to Dila and Faris for caring for Mimi when I travelled and supporting me during her most difficult days. 🙏❤️

I’m so proud of you both! Although I’ll miss your family dearly when you move to your new home, I wish you nothing but happiness and blessings.

Miu Miu has never been able to meow since she was a kitten. Instead, when she gets excited, she makes her own special little “ha ha ha” sounds! 😻🦎

I had her checked by a vet when she was little. Whether her voice never fully developed or was affected by an injury, it doesn’t matter to Mama. I would never abandon her for being different. ❤️

She may not meow, but Mama understands her, and that’s all that matters. Every cat deserves to be loved just as they are. 🐾💕

🐈‍⬛🖤 October is Black Cat Awareness Month.

Throughout history, black cats have been surrounded by myths and superstition. In some cultures they were feared or associated with bad luck, while in others they were actually seen as symbols of good fortune, protection and prosperity.

But behind all these old beliefs is simply a cat — beautiful, intelligent and deserving of the same love and kindness as any other.

24 July 2025, around 11pm 🐾❤️

I had just returned from a holiday when I caught young Miu Miu doing this.

She looked around as if nobody was watching… little did she know Mama was right in front recording her. 🤭 Then she started kneading, slowly relaxed and finally closed her eyes.

So glad I captured this simple, precious moment. Just sharing a sweet memory of young Miu Miu. 🥹❤️

Life on the streets is already hard enough. 🐾

Street cats around the world face hunger, traffic, harsh weather, territorial fights and the daily struggle to survive. They should never have to fear cruelty from humans too.

Abuse, intimidation, neglect and abandonment should never be tolerated. Young or old, we all have a responsibility to respect life. Please teach our children from young that animals are not toys to frighten or hurt.

You don’t have to be a cat lover to protect a life. ❤️

Here in Singapore, I hope we continue to strengthen animal protection and enforcement, with more serious consequences for those who deliberately abuse or cruelly mistreat cats.

Wherever we are in the world, let’s keep our eyes open and speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Be their eyes. Be their voice. Choose kindness. 🐾

I finally found the courage to pack Mimi Jie Jie’s things. ❤️

During her illness, I was too busy caring for her. After she passed, I simply didn’t have the heart to touch them.

But when I finally started packing, I found Miu Miu sitting amongst Jie Jie’s things.

I asked her, “What are you doing there?” and gently tried to pat her and get her to come out. Miu Miu is normally so tame and gentle, but this time, she bit me.

I didn’t scold her. She cannot tell me what she is feeling with words.

I can’t know exactly what was in her heart, but deep inside, I feel Miu Miu misses Jie Jie too — in her own way. ❤️

When we lose a beloved pet, remember that the other pets in our home may also need time to adjust. Give them patience, gentleness and understanding. They may not be able to speak, but they have their own ways of expressing themselves. 🐾
