Chuffed to have been featured on the @roddyhart show on @bbcradioscot this week! 💗🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Lovely to have had 'Life By The River' played on the show a couple times now, and it's vital that artists like ourselves have spaces like this to be heard - and not have shows that champion burgeoning musicians and songwriters traded in for 'easy listening' options (of which there are many). Delighted that there will be a replacement for this show in the new year however - looking forward to hearing what's in store!

20th January!!!The legends @celtic_connections heard ‘Closer to you’ and thought jeez let’s give this guy a bloody HEADLINE slot at the best festival in Scotland!
#lifegoals eh! It’s @drygateglasgow so it’ll be the biggest full band show I’ve ever done in Scotland!

Hello again, we have two new things 💫💫

We will be releasing our next single 'Life By The River' on 07/11 - only a short 4 weeks away ⌛ prepare to drift dreamily downstream with us on this lovely laid-back groove, captured at @knockwood__studio and mastered by @robinsutherland223. You can hear a little teaser in the background of this clip 🌊🌊🌊

We're also delighted to share a little behind-the-scenes timelapse of the incredible work @funomenology.art put in to create the artwork of our upcoming EP ✍️🐝🐟🌲 the level of detail staggered us when we first saw it, and now you can get a peek at that too. We'll hopefully have more of this to share in the coming weeks.

Hey! It's been a wee while, but we're back with some 🌟fresh🌟 music - here's a wee preview of 'Holy Wine', the next tune from our EP 🙏🏻🍷

This song is a meditation on love for the natural world and the healing that comes through spending time in nature 🌿🌲✨️ it is about seeing the true wealth we have in the world, and letting go of material things 🚮😌

Morven McArdle (formally known as Morven and the McArdles) is an alternative folk singer-songwriter from the East Coast of Scotland. As a classically trained pianist, her music is made distinctive byrepetitive intertwining piano and guitar melodies, which mixed with lyrical haunting vocals. Her music darts around the edges of many different genres – from dark indie and rock, to art pop and folk. Her songwriting style is characterised by deeply personal narratives, often hidden in characters and told through imaginary stories as a reflection of a very open-minded approach to writing music, tackling subjects regarding heartbreak, loss and grief.

Joining her on the 5th of March 2025 are BEE~EATER and Dean Robinson:

BEE~EATER are a contemporary folk quartet made up of members from the length and breadth of Scotland. Mercurial tastes and a sense of exploration have led the band to a rich, heady blend of sounds. Listeners won't find it hard to hear their love of psychedelia, ambient music, jazz, film scores, and much more. For fans of Nick Drake, John Martyn, Joni Mitchell, Fleet Foxes, Adrienne Lenker, Pink Floyd, Brain Eno, Michael Kiwanuka, and Bibio – to name just a few.

Dean Robinson is an authentic folk troubadour in every sense of the word. He has busked and sang in most every Scottish town and city from Saltcoats to Aberdeen. His music melds progressive, ambient, nylon-fingerstyle with lyrics that sound like nothing you’ve ever heard before, yet you somehow remember right in the pit of your stomach. A true Glasgow gem.

It's been over a month now since we released 'All That I Carry' into the world - big thanks to all who have listened and for all your kind words, it's so lovely that people are feeling a connection to what we're making 💗

Special thanks to @anxiousbronson for the wee write-up in @snackmag_ ! 🌟 glad to be sharing a page with the v special @alicefayemusic 💫 here's the text:

"A seven-minute bucolic epic, all delicate arpeggios and statuesque swells of strings like some Tolkien-esque hike through fantastic landscapes and star-strewn skies. Chanted harmonies build into massive peaks, overlaid with cosmic guitar lines exploding into bursts of chords that resolve themselves into folky fiddle falls. It feels like the start of an adventure."
