Top Pick/ Not My Pick 2026 💚PART 1💚

These are my top picks, and not my picks for the first 6 months of 2026. Some of my “not my picks” may be controversial 😅 BUT it doesn’t mean I disliked the book! It just means it was at the bottom of my picks for the month.

The beautiful thing about book opinions is I could agree with someone’s favorite pick one month and disagree the next. We all rate books based on different things. I’m mostly a vibe/remembrance rater.

I am LOVING Your Favorite Scary Movie by Ashley Cullins currently. It’s a non-fiction book all about the creation, and filming of the Scream franchise. It is fascinating and so fun.

I have been reading and listening to the audio, and the audio narrator is Roger L. Jackson who is THE voice of Ghostface in all the movies! How awesome is that?

I haven’t finished yet, but I can’t put it down.

August reading wrap up 📚

August was not a super great reading month for me. I was going through a lot mentally which made it harder for me to enjoy my reads. But I did still read some great things!

My favorite read was She’s A Lamb by Meredith Hambrock. I find myself thinking about this book from time to time which lets me know, I liked it!

I had to put a pause on The Burn Line at 77% in BECAUSE this month I’m participating in a readathon! So I’ve decided to jump in today with a book that matches some of the prompts.
