POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

First, giving honor and thanks to God, who is the head of my life. Every opportunity, every open door, and every step of this journey is because of His grace. 🙏🏾

Tonight, I am incredibly grateful to be honored at the HBCU Achiever Awards presented by Vote Influencers. Public service, education, and nonprofit work can sometimes feel like thankless work. You pour into people, institutions, and communities—often making sacrifices in your own life, with your time, and with your family that others may never see.
And that is why moments like tonight mean so much.
There is something incredibly special about simply being seen.

Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for seeing all of tonight’s honorees. Thank you for acknowledging the work that happens when no one is watching and for creating a platform where we can share our stories, our missions, and the communities we have committed ourselves to serving.

I am especially grateful for every opportunity to stand in a room and talk about HBCU C.A.R.E.S.—who we are, what we do, and why this work matters. It is my absolute honor and pleasure to serve as Executive Director & CEO and to continue bringing greater awareness, resources, partnerships, and opportunities to our HBCUs and the students they serve.

To be honored alongside so many incredible people committed to service and impact made tonight even more meaningful.

Thank you, Vote Influencers, for the recognition, for the platform, and most importantly, for seeing us. 🧡 I am grateful. I am humbled. And I am reminded that the work matters.

2025 had layers
.
Tears were shed. Laughter was uncontrollable. Love was experienced.
.
A new city. A new job (the big boss). A new home.
.
Got my dream car and totaled it- Still Standing
Loss weight and gained it back 🥴- Still Fine though 💋
.
Perspectives shifted. Faith deepened.
Some people were released. God drew closer. Life got honest.
.
I lived. I loved. I let go and let God.
2025 was cool.
.

Big News!

I’m incredibly honored to step into the role of Executive Director & CEO of HBCU CARES — a coalition committed to advancing the mission, impact, and innovation of Historically Black Colleges and Universities across Alabama and beyond.

Grateful to have been chosen to lead such a purpose-driven organization. I’m eager to serve, to collaborate, and to push boundaries as we work to empower students, strengthen institutions, and build lasting legacies.

Let’s get to work 🫶🏾

It’s always an honor to be celebrated for doing what you love.

At today's basketball game, @allenu_wbb made me the honorary coach.

Thank you, ladies! It’s a privilege to support you. Keep grinding, keep ballin out, and keep putting BTA! I can't wait to cheer you on at the championship game.

Every year, the girls and I talk about what we didn't include on our bingo cards. This year, I thought, why not create a bingo card outlining my goals for 2025?
.
So, here it is: my 2025 Goal Bingo Card & I plan to celebrate every time I get bingo!
