@vinalgeneral is this weeks Sunday Sandos. They have been on my list for a loooooong time, I was fired up to finally visit. They are ranked 3rd on Beli’s top 10 deli list in Boston, so they have had a lot of recent attention and I think it is absolutely justified. Good prices, good people, good soft serve ice cream, and of course good sandwiches. THANK YOU!

I came to Ikaria to explore the island and ended up barefoot, stomping grapes @afianeswines

Founded by Nikos Afiané in 1997, this winery is deeply connected to the traditions and culture of Ikaria. The native grapes and old school winemaking techniques are still used today.

I sat down with Nikos to hear the story behind the winery, and got to take part in making the wine. Something I will never forget.

Save this hotel for your next Greek vacation…

We stayed at the Erofili Beach Hotel in Armenistis, and it was the perfect home base for exploring this amazing island. A great location, beautiful views, an awesome pool, and an easy walk into the small town and down to the beach.

Ikaria is one of the coolest places I’ve ever visited, and having a spot like this makes it even better.

I sat down with Chef Tambo Barrow of @bredbarcambridge in Cambridge for a recent episode with @letsmeetboston

Chef Tambo grew up in Mattapan, and started BRED in Dorchester. His next concept BRED Bar in Cambridge brings all of his culinary skills to life. Sitting down to talk with him was such a privilege. Enjoy!

Hearth Artisan in Plymouth, MA. What fantastic cinnamon rolls and breakfast sandwiches this spot has. The bagels are some of the best I’ve had in the state. Sure, they are a little bread like, but it’s freshly baked and they throw it in the oven. My goodness it was good.

Sunday Sandos week 1 of the NFL, let’s cook. An absolute institution in Somerville serving up square slices of pizza and subs. I grabbed a steak bomb and a veal parm. The steak and cheese did good things to me. Unfortunately, the veal parm did not.

SUNDAY SANDOS in Somerville, MA at a lovely little wine and cheese shop called The Wine & Cheese Cask! They were in the top 10 sandwiches in Boston on @beli_eats so I had to check them out!!

What an awesome spot, local liquors, wines, cheese, and of course sandwiches. The cold cut sandwiches go hard. You can’t argue with @iggysbread
