“Some dude chillin” art / cartoon by Chris Stein

Chris had a dry and fun sense of humor. He loved to place those fun jokes, comics etc into unsuspecting areas. Def an influence in humor and style take from R Crumb.

Cartoon / art easter eggs left from our friend and Bass player Chris Stein.
❤️

Mic-E opened the door for me in 2004 at Jim’s Ramp in Oakland. He was every bit as dangerous-looking as I’d heard, and I’d clearly interrupted him throwing a table full of knives across the room at a giant map that would determine the location of Real’s next world tour.

Between the thuds of Mic’s knives sinking into the wall and Schaaf and Jason Phares on deck with me, it might, to this day, be the most intimidating session I’ve ever been on. It also marked the beginning of a friendship with Mic-E that lasted from that day forward.

He’d always embrace me when we crossed paths, and drop me random texts and calls out of nowhere. We shared so many great moments around the world from contests to Cat’s Paw and everywhere in between.

What a wonderful, kind, lovable man. A force of nature and a force for good for skateboarders everywhere.

You’ll be forever missed, Mic. See you out there. 🙏❤️ by @beergut74
