To you, so far away—
The first line of this poem is ripped straight from one of Shakespeares plays, and it’s among my favorite lines from the works of his I’m familiar with. Writing this poem helped me get rid of a lot of pent-up emotions I’ve been keeping.

Brace for Impact—
A poem about fear, anxiety, and how we can never truly be prepared for the inescapable. Nevertheless, it’s important that we keep going in spite of these fears and of the pain.

Beast Slayer—
A poem I never thought I’d see myself posting, but one that reflects some of my biggest vulnerabilities and toughest moments. I wrote this one in desperation, but I look back on it as a reminder that I am better, that I’m still here, and that I hopefully won’t have to write one of these again.

A bit of a darker post today but I hope y’all enjoy nonetheless :) 🫶🐝

Idolatry—
A very hard poem to write, but one with a message I feel not many people are ready to face. I’ve noticed that recently, many of my poems have had a lot of elements of horror, especially body horror or more psychological forms. I enjoy it; I think it adds a necessary weight to a lot of my ideas.

One of my few narrative poems, I wanted to blend elements of horror and tragedy into this poem because I think it fits the message I was trying to tell. I also went heavy on the biblical imagery in this one.

Frankenstein’s—
This poem came from both a place of extreme vulnerability and curiosity. I wanted to try and convey a unique, uncanny feeling while also forming a message that had some nuance. It took me a while to figure out the name for this one since I’ve never made a poem like this before.

I want to say something a little different; a certain idea occurred to me when I was making this poem that I wanted to share with all of you. Every tear you shed is a story untold— every laugh, scream, and embrace is a soliloquy waiting to be heard. Turn your pain into beauty and don’t succumb to the overwhelming power of regret.

Angel of Death—
A very long and equally unique poem to create. The inspiration from this one came not from a song or from an emotion, but from a work of fiction. It’s probably the most detached to a poem I’ve ever been; however, it has a complex meaning that I could still connect to, despite everything else.
