Our names are Kori and Brenden, and we are the Service Berry Ferries on the search for a parcel of land to begin building a community space here in Eastern Central Vermont. With education and shared wisdom at the forefront of our mission, we have our compass set to begin our shared journey onwards and upwards. We are two individuals with similar dreams of finding a new homestead to foster and begin a life of elemental magick and community action events.

Kori is the founder and owner at Medicine Womyn, and I am the founder and owner of Regenerative Retrofits. Both companies with aims to empower and educate individuals on the importance of being self-resilient, alongside community strength. Sharing the generational wisdom and knowledge to uplift and rise up in this world with compassion, integrity and reciprocity.

We are asking for your support; from sharing our dreams with a message or posting on your platforms about our fundraiser. Today I know who I am, I know what I desire and in this life I am here to heal my throat chakra. I speak from an authentic place of yearning for safety and love. To be a safe place to love and feel loved. I have fear some days and feel unworthy. I feel the vicious cycle of dark linear thoughts that I have to crawl out of after fully breaking down sometimes. . .but these times don't last and they are balanced with joy, love, freedom and appreciation for all the little things.

I desire to coexist with people who are looking within and doing work to heal and help others heal. Without judgements when they feel worry or grief and accept it can take a long time to become the best possible versions of ourselves. This doesn't go to show that there are very uncomfortable times where serious discussions need to be had. Looking within yourself and saying I don't like this part of me and actively working to grow and heal from what may have caused it.

I sense a need to speak out today because I've had many people reach out with my last post. Some days are truly hard and those days we learn so much about who we are and remember who we want to be. Let Love In and Let's Grow Together.

Starting to feel a little like summers end here in Vermont and the days are growing shorter. Time is moving quickly as the end of the growing season is wrapping up, and the task list feels like it hasn't gotten any smaller. Been busy pushing myself around the clock on all types of projects grasping to any last ounce of energy to make it through the days.

When I'm spread out, spread thin, spreading butter on toast in the mornings. Thinking about where the years been and how I felt the summer went in the gardens. The year has been full, the year of the fire horse came in hot and we are still mid gallup on the journey moving into fall. Come chat about what's coming up, share fire, share food, enjoy a sweat.

Rounding out the high summer with a full moon gathering on the last Friday night...this month has been a wild shift of energy moving from Leo Season into Virgo. With Lions gate, a Solar Eclipse and meteor showers lighting up the night skies. Many summer thunderstorms and lightning shows coming in hot with fierceness and abundance.

Learning how to navigate the balance of walking into the depth of awareness with feeling all the feels. As well being understanding that losing battles trying to have strength holding it all together, can also hold true power in its own as you let it all fall away. Restarting, resetting, resting, responding by relaxing to the overwhelming nature of life. Sometimes the best way to handle it all is, relinquished control of the outcomes and seeing how the cards play out. You've done your best, now sit back and observe the storytime before you lose the precious thing of living in witness of its creation.

August is here, and so is a vulnerable post to share about life. Recently reflecting on the summer and the time that's been passing by. The year of the fire horse has been fierce and fragile with lots of frustration. The Virgo mentality of planning life out and watching everything fall apart on a regular basis has been overconsuming. Smudging a pretty painting before it dries and not being able to see the bigger pictures of it all has crippled my enjoyment most days. The inner critic is to blame that I don't seem to get past the views of walking the straight and narrow of doing my best each day.

I've been on the journey of building this year, new structures in new places. Building new relationships with new clients and deepening my relationship with adventuring outdoors as much as I can...learning old techniques with new tools to add to my belt and trying to stay present with my abilities to keep moving forward. Sometimes the frustration comes with doing things so fast there's no way to reverse the motions. This is why I moved to Vermont after years of living in Colorado. Why I moved to the woods after a life spent in the grid of the city.

Once again, searching for the time to be in nature. To slow everything down, with the goal to hear the lessons from the trees, and the learning from the bees. It's really about love from the Earth that is constantly providing everything we need isn't it. Why is there so much destruction caused? Just to understand that we are moving so fast we smudge the painting before it dries.

Whoosh...what a complete astrological whirlwind of witnessed chaos this month. It has turned out to be one of those in my world, and what is being reflected in the world around me...can I get a "Ahhhooooyyyy" like the pirates say with the splashes of those tidal waves. Pirates boats are made of the earth, from timbered trees and hemp rope, forged metal and muscle of strong being allowing for the adventures forward into the unknown.

Let's see how Leo season goes, hopefully bringing in some fierceness from within to battle these ongoing wars happening on the front range. As well learning when to wave the white flag for those battles far beyond reach. The ones taking so much of my thought in the mental/physical being in my skeleton cage. Let the Buck Moon bring confidence and creativity to grow into this new chapter of transition. May the angered energies transform into passionate determination to keep building strong foundations and rowing the boat. Join me this month to navigate these currents and tides around deepening into what's to come and reflect onto the past from which we came.

Puerto Rico you were good to us.

Our 10-Day getaway was well deserved to celebrate a highschool graduation for our oldest daughter before her worldly adventures off to NorthEastern College in Boston. A first family trip with all of us and a successful one at that, exploring different coastlines. We drove around the coast of the entire country...through the rainforest and bamboo jungles, swam in the ocean and wild river waters.

Lizards, peacocks, grackels, guinea hens, pelicans, wild chickens and roosters everywhere. Sand sharks and baby leather back sea turtles heading out for a first swim in the ocean. Ready to navigate the beautiful world ahead of them. This trip had lots of highs, like ziplining through a canyon on one of world's longest ziplines and spending time together as a family with the culture of Puerto Rico proud of their heritage.

Lots to see still and will definitely plan to return in the future with open eyes to plant seeds and expand my building opportunities in a country with loads of bamboo to play amongst. Thank you Puerto Rico! 🇵🇷

One of the best months in celebration is the Strawberry Moon, gathering in the peak of springs awakening to summers months ahead. Everything is growing strong and the movement of the seasonal shifts is in full effect. As a person connected to the Earth, notice the vibrance of life at the end of this month being unlike any other.

Join us, and bring a friend, suggest it to your neighbor. Carry a brother or drag a family member to celebrate this months full moon here in the city of Burlington...we share stories around an open fire, feast with potluck offerings from many cultures. Then take time to indulge in a sauna sweat together and cold plunges in community. Leaving enriched, refined, focused and with wisdom shared from different brothers, traveling from different lands.

The Bunny Barn

Fully sent it on my first ever Barn build...building a 36'foot by 30'foot structure in two weeks. Totally about 111-Hours in 10 days and about 10k materials to build a beautiful new structure for a farm called Rocky Hill Farm LLC in Westford, Vermont. Word of mouth of my skills and professional practices of soft footprints on the Earth, landed me at this location. Building all the lumber from local mills, sustainable harvesting trees less than 100miles away. Given the time and budget of the project, post and beam was necessary to make quick work of construction. Using a stacking method and large lag screws to secure the giant foundational timbers and floating the feet for allowed movements were key points to factor in.

This build will be a new home for about 40 Rabbits inside the main area. These rabbits are cared for and raised for food production. Given rotating opportunities to graze the fields in movable bunny tractors out in the fields. The meat stock is sold to the local community and direct sales to restaurants. If you're not connected with the source of nourishment to survive and thrive. I invite you to ask why, ask where, ask how a product came to your plate, ask the practices that were used in caring for and raising your beets or bunnies, carrots, cows, or chickens...etc .etc...

The consumption of controlled commerce has been clouded in food processing and distribution companies. Trying to make more money, doing things cheaper and quicker with little care for the beginning intentions to the end actions. This disconnects us from the nourishment that is possible and eliminates biodiversity of local economical growth. In the soil, in our plants and animals, in our yard and farms and our local communities. These are my political thoughts and I do my best to live in action. Trying just a little more each day to understand our future as humans, while slowly Building Barns for Farms...dropping it low and building em high.

Two for Two this May...and feeling the energy rising with this Blue Moon. Starting the month strong as we move into spring and full planting season. Let this be new beginnings, to what use to be familiars end. Let those old habitats or prospectives of the world burst open with new growth opportunities of fulfillment and regeneration! Flip the A narrative you've been playing on repeat to side B and step into action with what the year ahead looks like.

I invite you to take the breath you've been holding and let that shit go! Slow down, speed up, rest, rest, rest... nourish your body, replenish your soul... reconnect your spirit. Living in alignment means stepping out of the mud. It's not an easy path but helping hands and community can get you there quicker, and staying there becomes more fluid.
