There is something so incredibly powerful about the fact that it took so much strength for Gwyn to walk out of the library, write her name on that piece of paper and choose to begin training. It was her choosing to step back into the world after everything that had happened to her. Choosing to challenge herself. That withering look over her shoulder says so much to me because Gwyn wasnโ€™t meek or fragile. She was determined, stubborn, competitive as hell and ready to prove herself. I love watching her grow through the Valkyrie training because she thrives in it. She pushes herself harder, challenges Nesta and Emerie, gets frustrated when she isnโ€™t good enough yet and then gets back up and tries again. Gwyn showed me something so beautiful- watching a woman who once had so much taken from her discover just how much strength was still inside her. Gwynโ€™s healing has never been about becoming the person she was before. And I think thatโ€™s why I love this moment so much. This is Gwyn choosing herself! The song the four seasons felt perfect as we watch miss Gwyn go through seasons of her self ๐Ÿซง๐Ÿชฝ๐Ÿš @theredcrane thank you so much for bringing her to life! ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿค You are unbelievably talented, and it was such a pleasure working with you. Their gazes locked and held. But Elain said nothing. Did not so much as take one step downward. Lucien inclined his head in a bow, the movement hiding the gleam in his eye-the longing and sadness. He did not glance back at Elain. Did not see the half step she took toward the stairsโ€”as if sheโ€™d speak to him. Stop him. - โ€œIs ... is there anything I can get for you?โ€ Iโ€™d never heard my friendโ€™s voice so soft. So tentative and concerned. - But he couldnโ€™t breathe as she faced him fully. She was the most beautiful female heโ€™d ever seen. - โ€œI can hear your heart,โ€ she said quietly. โ€œWhen I sleep,โ€ she murmured, โ€œI can hear your heart beating through the stone.โ€ She angled her head, as if the city view held some answer. โ€œCan you hear mine?โ€ - โ€œIt felt ... strange,โ€ Elain breathed. โ€œLike you pulled on a thread tied to a rib.โ€ - โ€œI would never hurt herโ€ - Lucien - โ€œAnd you are bound to some fae male.
