I used to spend my whole working day sitting. Editing, planning shoots, answering emails, all from the same chair.

Now I set a 45-minute standing session on my @beflo Tenon desk. It rises, I keep working, I put some music on, and when the time’s up it lowers back on its own. I don’t have to think about it.

It’s a small change, but my days feel completely different. Less stuck, more moving.

How many hours a day do you spend sitting? 👇

Strata. Good Design Award 2026.

Feet rarely stay in one place while we sit.

Strata gives them somewhere to go. An oak foot support, shaped for small shifts through the day.

Strata has received the Good Design Award 2026.

A small desk doesn’t have to be a compromise. It has to be considered.

The Tenon Mini in white, in an accountant’s studio. An iPad on the Slant — lifted to eye level, angled for the hand, turned on its base when someone else needs to see the numbers. A notebook, a coffee, a lamp, and nothing the surface doesn’t need.

The drawer cut flush into the top. A line of light under the edge for when the room goes dark.

Two pieces, one desk, built to meet.

A desk is not the thing. The system around it is.

The Tenon holds the surface. The Dale takes what shouldn't sit on it. The Eclipse lights the evening. The Valley keeps the small things in reach. Cables go down through the top and never come back up. None of it was added later — it was designed to meet.

One desk, built to be lived at, not just worked at.

The drawer you forget is there is the one doing the most work.

The Galena sits under the desk and takes everything the surface shouldn't hold — paper, cables, the things you reach for twice a day and never want to see. Pull it out, drop it in, push it back. The desk stays clear because the cabinet doesn't.

Storage that earns its floor space. Nothing more to say about it, which is the point.

What sits around the desk should feel like it belongs there.

Strata underfoot — oak, a quiet curve, enough give that standing doesn’t ask for attention.
Eclipse in the Tenon slot — one touch, and the surface warms without taking over the room.

Light above. Support below.
The desk stays clear. The room stays still.

Some things belong near the desk, just not on it.

Galena keeps them close. A top drawer for the small things, a shelf for work in progress, a cushioned top for a moment's pause. The wheels stay hidden.

It moves when the room does. The desk stays clear.

Evening changes what a room needs.

Less light. Less noise. Fewer things asking for attention.

Eclipse is a single ring of warm light, sized for the desk rather than the ceiling. It lights the surface and leaves the rest of the room quiet.

Light that supports the moment instead of announcing itself.

Thirty seconds from box to floor.

The Galena arrives assembled — cut the tape, lift the wrap, roll it into place. No hex key, no diagram, no afternoon lost to it. A cabinet that's ready before the coffee is.

What comes out of the box should be the finished thing. That's the standard.
