Some snaps from Bēhere from our opening fall season of 2026. Nothing brings me more joy than sharing crowded tables with this community. Since our family lives REALLY tiny, we have no dining room or living room to host people, so Bēhere has filled a need for hosting community that my soul longs for. Sure, we educate at Bēhere, but even more so, I focus on creating experiences that feel more like top tier hospitality with lesson plans that make the community feel home and alive and everyone leaves the class feeling more uplifted than when they arrived. That’s the goal—— JOY. Like a good host would do. Fun fact: the opening part of this song actually says “you can hold my hand, if you wanna let go…” but IG didn’t have the full version. Sigh. If you need a hand to hold on this CrAY homeschool journey, Bēhere is here !! #homeschoolcommunity #alternativeeducation #outdooreducation by @behere_re

Bēhere summer days 2026 is in the books! But seriously, how do people run summer camps all summer long? I’m wiped after 3 full days! This year our summer program focused on wild art and using creativity to design our own “never bored books” then, day 2 featured our own twist on a pentathlon with flag-making and some history on the Olympics. Today, we capped it off with a natural building workshop. I was so grateful to have @cobetty come down the mountain to teach the children about natural building and guide them through making their own miniature cob house. I was so impressed at how detailed and focused they were in conducting their work. It was the perfect blend of education, play, movement and creativity with SYV’s gorgeous backdrop stunning us all with its beauty. We are blessed! #homeschoolenrichment #outdooreducation #outdoorschool #alternativeeducation #educationrevolution by @behere_re

Possible unpopular opinion… I like the school year much more than summer. As homeschoolers, we already have so much time freedom in our days, that summer is just overboard for us. We are missing the Rhythm of our Bēhere days and looking forward to its presence in our life this fall and beyond. Anyone else anticipating the return of their fall rhythm and homeschool community !? Making this highlight reel reminded me of the wonder and magic that happens at every Bēhere class, and I’m thankful we get to do this work impacting the next generation of free thinkers to find their calling! If you are looking for an awesome enrichment class for your child this fall, then check out our fall offerings for our programs offered in Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez Valley and a partnership program we are piloting in Camarillo with @woodsforestschool #homeschoolenrichment #natureschool #outdoorschool by @behere_re

Earth week is every week at Bēhere. So we didnt treat this past week all that differently. Our Conejo Valley chapter got after some intense trash pick up… man they got after it! Sorry parents for the treasures they took home. Our SYV chapter stewarded a new space, took on archery. Through Socratic discussion and copy work, both chapters talked about/ wrote about the symbiosis of nature, inspired by the John Muir quote, “When one tugs on a thing from nature it finds itself attached to the rest of the world.” We are all connected on this Garden plant we call earth, may we be Good Stewards of the Earth while are here! #natureschool #outdoorschool #homeschoolenrichment #forestschoolinspired #steinerinspired by @behere_re

Two weeks into our winter theme of ancestral wisdom. We learned about water sheds and fire making and how this knowledge informed where and how our ancestors chose to live via socratic discussions and hands-on activities, such as: making mini water shed systems, chopping wood and building fires. Herbal medicine is always woven in as we forage and study nature around us every week. This week, our Conejo Valley class will take to the trails with our visiting naturalist for some indigenous plant study, while our SYV class will bake bread and start some simple woodworking. #natureschool #outdoorschool #homeschoolenrichment #wildandfree #steinerinspired by @behere_re

And that is a wrap on October at our Bēhere Santa Ynez Valley and Conejo Valley Chapters. The beauty of Bēhere is just something you have to experience to know it. Thanks for being here with us and rethinking what education can be 🙏
