🎶✊🏿 IMPPACT AT THE SWEET AUBURN MUSIC FESTIVAL! ✊🏿🎶

We weren’t just outside enjoying the music, we were out in the community, canvassing, connecting, and sharing knowledge about the power of the vote! 🗳️

Our canvassers were meeting people where they are having real conversations about formerly incarcerated Georgians, felony probation, and the road back to the ballot box.

Thanks to SB 105, eligible Georgians serving felony probation have a pathway to early termination after three years when they meet the required conditions. Once a felony sentence is completed, voting rights can be restored.

That means knowing your rights matters. Knowing the law matters. And knowing your power matters.

IMPPACT is committed to making sure justice-impacted communities have the information they need to reclaim their rights, participate in democracy, and IMPPACT their communities 🧡🗳️✊🏿

IF THE SYSTEM HAS EVER TOUCHED YOUR LIFE, THIS IS FOR YOU.

If you’ve been incarcerated, on probation or parole, have something on your record, or love somebody who does, SHOW UP.

Mass incarceration impacted our communities. Now it’s time for MASS VOTER REGISTRATION.

Know your rights. Reclaim your voice. Register if you’re eligible. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring somebody who needs to know they still have a voice.

We can’t do this alone. Let’s turn Georgia ORANGE with civic participation.

📍 Mr. Pig’s Smokehouse
📅 Monday, October 5, 2026
⏰ 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Since they won’t ask what we want, we’re going to SHOW UP and make our voices heard.

THE END OF ISOLATION.

This documentary had me enraged with anger, inspired with power, and tumbling down memory lane. It brought me full circle and reminded me exactly why I became a strategic advocate for the voiceless, the underserved, the overlooked, and the communities too often discounted.

I know what isolation does to a human being because I lived it. Altogether, I spent more than 15 months in isolation during my incarceration. Solitary confinement will take you places mentally that are difficult to explain to someone who has never experienced being locked behind that door.

Watching The End of Isolation wasn’t just watching a film for me. Parts of it felt like watching memories.

And to see women who survived what was designed to break them, then turn that pain into purpose, advocacy, art, and strategy? POWERFUL.

Hats off to the director and everyone who brought this story to life. And a special salute to Dr. Pamela Winn, a woman who survived incarceration and isolation and continues to turn that experience into advocacy for others.

Yesterday, I wasn’t just sitting in an audience. I was sitting there as a survivor, a returning citizen, a credible messenger, and an advocate who understands firsthand why this work matters.

Some experiences don’t leave you when the cell door opens.

That’s why I advocate.
That’s why I speak.
That’s why I show up.
That’s why I fight for people whose voices have been ignored.

Go see The End of Isolation.

Some stories entertain you.
This one confronts you.
