Welcome to the NEW ERA of Beige Ombre- (doing it for real this time 😎) Let’s get acquainted ~ I’m Micha (say it like the stone, Mica ✨). I’m the artist, designer, and all-around cosmic dreamer behind Beige Ombre — a non-binary, astro-inspired art + design + sewn goods brand. What’s in a name? ‘Beige’ = a neutral place for all colors to emerge ‘Ombre’ = the variety of goods to adorn a gradient of bodies and gender expressions. Also, Beige Ombre is a wink at the skies: the hazy tones of Venus (planet of art & creativity) and Saturn (planet of discipline & turning ideas into reality) As a non-binary maker, my goal is to offer adornments and sewn goods that are environmentally responsible and sustainable. All pieces are ethically, slowly, and intentionally made. The creation process encourages exploration of self-expression, expanding options for those who live outside the traditionally prescribed categories of “menswear” and “womenswear.” Beige Ombre is where I build a theirwear line for the collective — anyone who is interested or curious about experimentation in modes of being or diversifying self expression. My offerings are imbued in astrological themes and are where archetypes take shape and stories are embodied. Astrology has been my lens for connecting with this wild universe. In studying charts, I’ve learned we all share the same parts — just in different arrangements. To me, it’s an ancient art form rooted in empathy and awareness, offering context for our place in the galactic neighborhood, while grounding us in reverence for this tiny blue dot we call home. As Carl Sagan said: “Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives.” This project has been slowly distilled through my craft and creative sensibilities. Now feels like the right moment to share it with the world — a love letter to our blue dot, the celestial heavens, and the vast diversity of humanity. Filled with love and gratitude for the privilege to assist @hagandcompany in their beautifully intense, 18th Century Stays (corset) class at the incredible @johnccampbellfolkschool this past week. Every single student was an amazing person that I so happy to know and connect with. A magical experience that opened my heart and mind to the wonderful world of folk art, crafts and music.
