Beihouse in Beirut is The Best Restaurant in Lebanon 2026 and is the winner of the Highest New Entry Award, as part of the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna.

Rising from the devastation of the 2020 Beirut explosion, Beihouse stands today as a powerful symbol of Lebanon’s resilience, creativity and cultural pride. Lovingly restored by owner Said Daher, the palatial complex in Gemmayzeh spans three historic villas and a central courtyard anchored by an ancient olive tree, creating a living showcase of Lebanese design, art and hospitality that feels both deeply rooted and boldly contemporary.

At its heart is chef Tarek Alameddine, whose background at Noma brings a boundary-pushing sensibility to familiar Lebanese and Levantine flavours. Through fermentation, preservation and imaginative reinterpretation, the menu redefines tradition without losing its soul – from smoked hummus with caviar to modern takes on shawarma and vine-leaf-wrapped duck.
