I finally did it – a solo backpacking trip to the wild heart of Africa – Maasai Mara, Kenya.

I’ve heard people say you’ll never be the same after you witness the Mara. When Ranbir once said in an interview that “Masai Mara is not a vacation, it’s a lifetime experience.” And now I get it.

Sitting on an island I almost didn’t visit. Watching a sunset I almost missed. Reminded again that the richest things in life can’t be saved in a bank, only in a breath, a moment, a feeling you let yourself fully live.
No plans. No deadlines. Just the sky bleeding red over the Philippines and the quiet reminder that right now is enough.

Every journey I take starts with the same intention: to meet people.

Places are beautiful, but it's the strangers who become stories. The tea or drinks shared with someone who had no reason to talk to me. The conversation that ran two hours longer than planned. The local who pointed me to the one spot no map would ever show. No matter how old they are, no matter what color their skin is, no matter what language they speak, no matter what religion they belong to, no matter where they’re from.. coming from a country where people fight in the name of religion, divide in the name of cast what more can I ask for. Opening up my arms to the world out there with a warm smile is my thing, and I’m sure you may say I have enough to cherish for a lifetime but I am a greedy little man 😋

Meeting people is the therapy. Somewhere between "where are you from?" and "come, sit," I feel most like myself.

We don't collect destinations. We collect souls, and every trip leaves me a little fuller than I arrived.

I travel alone, and I've noticed that food is where a place stops being a destination and starts feeling real.

Anyone can visit a landmark. But sit down at a small table in a medina in Morocco, or a roadside stall in Beijing, and you're inside someone's everyday life. Nobody is performing for you. It's just someone feeding their people, and you happen to be at the table.

I never plan the meal. I plan the mood, then follow the smell, the queue of locals, the plate at the next table that I didn't order but now need. Some of my best memories are of dishes I couldn't pronounce and still can't.

The more countries I see, the more I think a meal is the most honest thing a culture has to offer. Every recipe carries history, migration, and a family's pride. When you eat it slowly, without your phone, you take in a little of that.

Because a trip isn't only about where you went. It's what you tasted, and who fed you.

Dubai’s heat doesn’t just test us., it tests every living thing on these streets. Today I watched a biker pull over mid-ride because he spotted a bird lying on the footpath, clearly overwhelmed by the temperature. Without a second thought, he knelt down and gave it water.

It was such a small moment, but it stayed with me. In a city that moves so fast, someone still stopped., for a bird, not a person, not anyone who’d even know or thank him. Just because it needed help.

With temperatures soaring past 40°C, it’s easy to forget that the heat hits the smallest, most voiceless creatures the hardest. Birds, stray cats, dogs they can’t step into an air-conditioned mall or grab a cold drink. A little water left out, a little shade offered, can genuinely be the difference between life and death for them.

@homegrown_privates hosted their Sunrise Social Tour in my hometown, Kannur and how can I miss it..! Just Like Idris said after the gig, it was Adipoli ..!
What a beautiful way to spend the morning, waking up at 4am and being there for the sunrise, a quality coffee & breakfast from @brwlab and crazy beats by @fromplanetearthmusic
