Like my previous post, I heard about this book from the morning news shows. I had never read a Harlan Coben and their CBS Mornings interview made the premise sound very interesting so I added it to my online grocery order. This book was....*shakes head*...not good. The beginning is pointlessly cryptic, the theme - or so it was discussed on television - is lost less than halfway through the book, the suspense is confusing and contrived, and the review that said it's written like a high school creative writing class is putting it nicely. I do, however, feel compelled to read one more Coben just to see if the writing is really that bad, or is just what happens when you - and I use this term loosely - co-write with someone who is used to screenplays and scripts. ⭐️/5 on my @goodreads #books #fyp #bookstagram #read #book by @beingbreanne

I first saw this book on the morning news programs, which was also when I first heard the term "Trad Wife." The premise is brilliant, the writing is smart, with just the right amount of pretentious so as to come off darkly witty, and the execution of the idea is innovative.....riiiiiiggggggghhhhhhttttt up until the end. For all of the work that is put into unfolding the story, the ending is a big disappointment; the not-quite-hard p3nis of the book world. IYKYK. I have no idea what I was expecting, but this is definitely a book that you will read because you just have to know how it ends. ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 on my @goodreads profile. #yesteryear #bookstagram #books #reading #fyp by @beingbreanne
