In your dystopian era? I have a recommendation!

Add An Ocean Apart by @jtewwrites to your list.

This is a young adult dystopian romance set in the flooded marshes of Miami. This is a story about the inequalities between the "Cruisers," who are rich corporate elites living safely on massive ocean ships and those who live on the flooded lands of what once was Miami and other locations of what's left of the world.

Less depression - more romance. I LOVE this dystopian romance, which includes a love triangle if you're into that (I gobble them up) but even more for the uniqueness of the bachelor style competition. Keeping to important topics and current events, this story had it all.

HAPPY SUNDAY!

It's raining here in NJ so that means keeping the kids entertained indoors was my top priority BUT both kids took a nap today and I got an hour of reading in 😎

I finished Dreadful by @authorpenelopeblack and this series is so addicting! The heists, the passion, the brothers, and everything in between keeps you turning the pages. AND in true PB fashion - a cliffhanger.

Currently reading This Is How You Lie by @paperfury and I'm telling you right now - add it to your TBR. This is a captivating adult gothic thriller set in an isolated mansion with SO many twists.

My next read is End of Life by @patrickcarroll, which looks and sounds so good. I cannot wait to experience a story inspired by true events in the author's life.

DO YOU LIKE DRAGONS?

THRESHING DAY by Rebecca Yarros
⭐⭐⭐⭐✨

Threshing Day by @rebeccayarros was the perfect addition to the series. I loved getting to experience our favorite character's stories during Threshing Day and honestly, I devoured this.

If you're a fan of the Fourth Wing fandom, definitely add this one to your TBR. Some spoilers are in there but RY does a phenomenal job informing the reader of incoming spoilers. This was action packed and just gave you different POVs which was perfect.

So happy I was able to enjoy this book and I thank RY for always creating these books with so much passion and humor. Sending so many positive vibes and hugs to RY and her family during this difficult time. 🫂

I devoured this why choose dark romance full of heists and pining!

This was 4.5 stars for me!
⭐⭐⭐⭐✨

The continuum of the Hollow Beach series and it was an absolute adventure. I love this gang and all of the shenanigans they get into, but this heist was INTENSE. I was on the edge of my seat with each chapter and OW that cliffy.

I love a story that keeps you turning the pages! The characters grew in book 3 and I felt like feelings were finally being accepted. Everything about the pacing of this book kept things interesting. There was character development as well as relationships that flourished. And yes - This why choose dark romance is full of spice.

I am eager to find out what happens next because I have SO many questions!

Happy Weekend!

I hope you get to read at some point in your weekend! If that's your thing, obviously. I'm part of the Tired Moms Book Club because I'm staying up WAY later than I should be (12pm-1am range). But I'm SO EXCITED to find out what happens in Dreadful by @authorpenelopeblack . This series is addicting, full of heists, brothers, family, and SO much pining.

Spooky season is approaching and I thought there's no better way to get into the feels than start reading some spooky books on my TBR.

I just finished Shadow and Son (eARC) by @gretchenwritesbooks and oh my gosh please add this trilogy to your TBR. I'm embarrassed to admit, I was sleeping on it. This romantasy gives us a shadow mommy with a human love interest. There's so much tension, banter, heartbreak, chaos and twist! Highly recommend adding this to your TBR.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (This was 5 stars for me!)

I am starting Get 20% Off Your First Demon This Halloween by @michaelclarkeauthor and the audiobook for Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica and I'm so excited!

A book that lives rent free in my head?

DEVOUR ME by @emilyrathauthor

Wraith? Witches? Coven? Mages? Magic? Say no more.

This book blew my expectations out of the water. I picked this up for the cover alone and stayed for the plot and characters. READ. THIS. BOOK. The small town vibes alone make this book perfect for spooky season.

Incidents Around the House by Josh Maler man

This was 4 stars for me!
⭐⭐⭐⭐

What an absolutely creepy story told from the POV of a child. I was sucked into this immediately, especially with how this story starts and it kept me on the edge of my seat until the end.

Yes - this is the inspiration for Other Mommy, so you're in for a treat if you read this! I really enjoyed the story, the horror, and the constant twists. It was unique and honestly scary. I will absolutely be watching Other Mommy when it releases, during the day, with the sun high in the sky and at home where I can control the lights 🤣

This book was spooky and the only reason it's not getting 5 stars is because personally, the POV from the child killed some vibes for me. Still freaky. Still a good story.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

I just finished Never Lie by Frieda McFadden via audiobook and honestly can gobble up anything written by them.

I am currently IMMERSED IN my eARC of Shadow and Son by @gretchenwritesbooks . This finale is going to wreck me - I can feel it. 🥴 If you haven't added this trilogy to your TBR, do us both a favor and get on it.

My next book is going to be The Princess and the Pack by Fallon English and I am SO excited to start!

I honestly have been loving all the books I'm reading and I LOVE when that happens.
