The creative part? That comes naturally.

Being planted in a church home takes more than showing up on Sunday. 🌱

I’ve been at New Birth since 2023, and for my first year, I simply attended. I prayed, learned the culture, watched the leadership, and gave myself time to make sure this was where God was calling me to grow.

Then came serving. Mass Choir. Teen ministry. Young adult leadership. Content. Opportunities I never walked in asking for, but places where God continued to stretch me.

Being planted does not mean everything will always be comfortable. Church is made up of people. There will be disagreements, growing pains, accountability, and moments that require grace.

Sometimes the thing that frustrates you is not your sign to leave. Sometimes God is showing you where you can help build.

And to be clear, I’m not talking about staying somewhere unsafe, manipulative, or harmful. I’m talking about learning the difference between discomfort and misalignment.

Find a Christian community where people know you. Where you can be honest. Where you’re challenged in your spiritual growth. Where people pour into you and you’re expected to pour back.

Don’t just attend church. Get planted. 🌱

Y’all know I went to Black Tech Week in Cincinnati this summer and left a little conflicted 👀

So of course it’s funny how God works, because now Black Tech Week is coming to Columbus.

When I saw there was a meet and greet, I had to get in the room, hear the vision for myself, and get a little inside scoop on what they’re building here.

Am I taking back everything I said yet? 😂 Not quite.

But redemption arc loading? Maybeeee. 👀

I’m definitely interested to see what Black Tech Week Columbus brings.

September is Suicide Prevention Month, and I wanted this episode of The Tiffanys to talk about something we don’t say enough.

Sometimes “I’m tired” means more than needing rest.

The person still showing up, working, creating, praying, laughing, serving, and getting things done can still be struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts.

And for believers, I especially wanted to say this: having faith does not make you immune to mental health struggles. Needing help does not mean you don’t trust God.

Check on your people. Ask the real question. And if they say they’re fine a little too quickly, stay long enough to ask again.

Sometimes support looks like prayer. Sometimes it looks like therapy. Sometimes it looks like sitting beside somebody and reminding them they do not have to carry this alone.
