Living without you is beyond any kind of pain can be defined. You told me once that I’m very brave that I can live so far away from home, and you’re very homesick. Today I feel what homesick means. It’s not missing the home you and Maa built for us. It’s missing your presence where I live, your smile, laugh, anger, tears, hugs, kisses, and the feeling of warmth that I felt around you. There is an eerie silence in my heart amongst all the chaos in my head and a bone chilling cold that can freeze me at any moment. Today I feel homesick for you and Maa, because the home is gone with you and there is a house standing tall and mocking me to dare call it home again.

These can’t be cultivated as they uniquely grow out of the places where termites live. All through the year we wait to taste them during the rainy season.

When we talk about love, we often miss out the maternal love you feel for that little kid without being the mother or Maasi. Being a Buaa brings unknown feelings that you never imagined you’re capable of having, let alone sharing with a tiny human.
When he calls Bada Auntyyy, somehow my world shifts, my heart melts, and everything else stops to matter. He keeps talking and all I do is just respond to his millionth question with the amount of patience I never thought I’ve. Because I love whatever gibberish he speaks, even when sometimes the questions don’t have an answer, the QA session continues.
I find a miniature version of me in him and I somehow respond to him the exact way my Papa used to do, with my questions when I was a kid.
Sometimes he becomes the Mom and takes care of me just like Maa would’ve done. And I get surprised that how this tiny human knows exactly what I like to eat, which things are my favorite and a lot of things I never expected anyone to notice. He is super cute, when he says I’ll never leave you alone🤣 wherever you go I’ll follow. It just fills my heart with the kind of warmth that can’t be explained in words. I find a fragment of my childhood when I used to cry and follow Papa, when Buggu cries to come and live with me.
God bless you my baby and thank you for showering my life with the abundance of love.
Love you my little mummy, chota papa, my bff, and my Dhanu. Every minute spent with you is never enough. Miss you already and see you soon!
