The day before Dotty was diagnosed with Semi-Lobar Holoprosencephaly / July 28 2022

Follow our story to see how far she’s come!

Semilobar Holoprosencephaly is a rare congenital brain malformation where the two hemispheres of the brain fail to separate completely during fetal development.

Day 242 / Never before seen footage of this moment!!!!! Dotty was born without an immune system and was kept in the bubble of her nursery for two years isolated and was only held by her dad and I (an rare occasions immediate family members also in masks) while wearing masks for her protection as we awaited her life-saving donor! A month after her transplant my husband called ( I was with our older two that morning) and said we could TAKE THE MASKS OFF to get to the hospital as quickly as I could!!!! He had to keep the older two in the waiting room, so the sweetest nurse captured this special moment for us!!!!!! 😭😊🥲 by @bekaherway

Pure joy playing in the living room with her bubba! ✨ Moments like these are ones we hold so much care for because we weren’t promised any of them!

And yes, that was a real comment we’ve received on more than one occasion. 😞

Y’all we are here!!! A big step forward for Dotty we are believing! As she gets used to wearing these (pray she will not be too fussy with them or uncomfortable) we are eager to see how they help her balance and in turn her confidence to stand more sure of herself! Aren’t they so cute 🎀🫧🩰💕

The SPIRO is to help her trunk support because she tends to arch her back and slump in especially if she sits on the floor. 💪✨

What do you think of our little ballerina!? 🥹👏🏼🤍

This @weareizimini chair is perfection! It comes with a bag to easily travel with, the stripes are adorable, and Dotty loves having a tray! It can even attach to a big chair if needed!! It was the best tag a long for our camping trip this weekend 🤍 by @bekaherway

Dotty is going to start PT therapy @bethanychildrens soon! She’s been on the waiting list and in the meantime has been able to crush a couple of intensives!! She’s so ready to have PT on a consistent schedule and we can’t wait to see how this helps her with her mobility in the coming months!! ✨
