Le 15 août dernier, vous avez été nombreux•ses à nous signifier votre intérêt pour participer à la toute première saison d’Embarques-tu?(Queer)! Notre équipe a fait des rencontres formidables : des personnes prête•s à faire des rencontres amoureuses authentiques, dans un contexte queer empreint de diversité et de bienveillance; mais aussi prête•s à rayonner à l’écran pour contribuer à une représentation lesbo-queer sous toutes ses couleurs, par et pour la communauté.

Nous sommes reconnaissant·e·s de la confiance et de l’enthousiasme que vous démontrez envers cette télé-réalité qui vise à marquer l’histoire — en offrant une alternative aux dynamiques hétéronormatives majoritaires du paysage québécois dans les médias traditionnels—C’est pour vous qu’on le fait !

“I’m a New York-born, Montreal raised entrepreneur and multidisciplinary artist. My work tends to live at the intersection of identity, design and community.

Before entrepreneurship there was sport. Track and field first, then basketball through high school and for a couple years thereafter. Sport gave me a mind built for pressure, a short memory for losses and the courage to step outside my comfort zone. It taught me that sometimes you just have to take the risk to find out what you’re capable of.

That mindset is what built Maison Komandō. I couldn’t find underwear designed around women’s bodies and needs, so I made it myself. What started as a problem became a company built on quality and self-expression, and on the belief that every woman should feel at home in her own skin.

As a recipient of the RBC Canadian Emerging Black Entrepreneur award and now a Canadian delegate for the upcoming G20, I bring that same spirit from sport into everything I build. Once you have that fire, you keep pushing no matter what.” - Murielle Bien-Aimé
