Today I am off to the House of Lords for afternoon tea with the Cavell charity. Cavell support retired nurses, midwives and register nhs workers who need a little extra help and support. by @bekorah

We’re now four workshops into our Praise & Paint series with @made_cic

These sessions bring together women aged 40+ for a beautiful combination of faith, fellowship, creativity and nature — creating space to connect, express themselves and enjoy time together.

There are plenty more workshops to come, with the series continuing through to March next year.

Its so lovely growing your own, watching, plants progress from seed to fruit.
Can't wait to taste the sweetcorn when they're ready to harvest. In the meatime, looking forward to tucking into some nice leafy greens and fresh tomatoes, seasoned with some gorgeous smelling fresh herbs.

My granddaughters are following in my footsteps only thing is my little cutee melly dosn't want to eat the microgreens, she wants to grow peas. Nothing wrong with dreaming big and aiming high!!

Her pesrsistance is growing sweetcorn, from a small seed planted at school to a small pot in her front room, now a plant on the balcany.

Looking forward to the harvest!!

Thank you ladies for joining us at our first in a series of praise n paint workshops. We gave God thanks, made new connections with like minded people. Provided support and encouragement to each other. Most had never painted before but all created their own little masterpiece for their home/ workspace. All in all they were thankful for the opportunity to take time out of their busy schedules to make time for themselves.

Watch this space and lookout for future dates and other sessions to paint, create, walk and just spend time on yourself.

1st 2 days of the newly accredited bethelhhn doula training completed. 10 very keen doula volunteers preparing to walk with women, who need a little extra support as they embark on their pregnancy journey and transition into being new parents.

Black birth worker forum| There’s power in being in a space where your experience is understood.

Our Black Birth Worker Forum is a safe, supportive space to connect, share, and grow with other Black birth workers. A place for real conversations, peer support, and culturally relevant learning.

Together, we’re building stronger networks, reducing isolation, and supporting wellbeing in the work we do.

Our first meeting will be held online, followed by a mix of online and in-person sessions.

Organised my first sip n paint wellness morning for my work colleagues this week, we painted our individual trees and built our forest of support. In a forrest we are more protected from the storm.
