Ad:Gifted - I was delighted to be gifted this beautiful fabric for the July @beyond.thepinkdoor Think Pink Sewscription box and as luck would have it, the new #rosemaryskirt pattern by @lisetailor was released at the same time - a match made in heaven.
At first glance, the skirt looks like it has a single bottom tier but on inspection has additional pin tucks at the waist and lower yoke to give it a little extra je ne sais quoi!
Despite careful measuring, the skirt ended up a tad too long for me (think I’ve shrunk in height) so I added extra pin tucks….I have to confess I did feel a bit smug about that remedy 😉 by @bel_sews

I’m loving purple at the moment - can you tell? This gorgeous viscose was waiting in my stash for the right pattern and hey presto! the #Canyontop by @fridaypatterncompany was created. It’s a lovely swishy airy top and paired with linen trousers this outfit is perfect for summer now the heat bomb has dissipated here in the uk….for a while. 😉
All fabrics were purchased from my favourite store @beyond.thepinkdoor

Ad:gifted - Hot off the machine is my latest make made in this joyous linen viscose fabric kindly gifted to me by Andrea @beyond.thepinkdoor
This is the #tellojacket by @paulinealice_patterns , a lovely lightweight jacket where I’ve also bound the seams just to elevate it a bit and give more structure. The pattern comes with 4 pockets but I omitted the zip chest pocket as I felt the fabric was too light.
I’m really pleased with it and although it’s somewhat warm here in the UK at the moment it’s very handy for wearing to a local supermarket near me where the temperature is almost like the Arctic and you run the risk of frostbite! 😏

BBQ weather has just landed in the UK and whilst it’s as hot as Hades here at the moment, by sundown there’s usually a chill in the air so I opt for long sleeves.
In readiness of any invitations, I made the #namedclothing #maiteraglantunic, a mash up between the tunic and dress and I’m really pleased with how it came out. The fabric was kindly gifted by Andrea @beyond.thepinkdoor for the May Sewscription box and I think even she was surprised at my choice as it’s not what I would usually go for but I love it!
That’s the beauty of Andrea’s subscription boxes - you make something in a fabric you aren’t sure about and it ends up being one of the garments you love the most!! #btpdsewinspired #sewistsofinstagram #sharesewover50 @sharesewover50 by @bel_sews

Ad:gifted - Andrea has nailed it again with another fabulous fabric for April’s @beyond.thepinkdoor Sewscription box and mine is kindly gifted as a #btpdsewinspired ambassador.
I made the #kateskirt by #atelierjupe (quite proud of the pattern matching on the placket 😉) and the #saltotop by #maisonfauveuk - a great pattern for using little fabric for maximum effect so I now have a matching set just waiting for some sunshine to show it off! by @bel_sews

Ad:gifted - Hot off the sewing machine is my latest make, the #atelierjuperosie blouse from the newest collection by Atelier Jupe.
This pattern was kindly gifted to me as a #btpdsewinspired ambassador by Andrea from @beyond.thepinkdoor and I didn’t need to look too far for the perfect fabric - a lovely viscose by Lise Tailor I’ve had my eye on for ages and she just happened to have in her shop. I added some lace as accent in the seams for something different and made the puffed sleeve option.
The jury is out on the sleeves as they’re not what I’d normally wear but it was fun to sew and I’m rather pleased with the result so they might just stay 😉 @sharesewover50 by @bel_sews

Ad:Gifted - The weather is starting to get warmer so when I was gifted this gorgeous March Sewscription box fabric from @beyond.thepinkdoor , as one of the #btpdsewinspired ambassadors, I instantly knew what to make.
This is the #taikablousedress by @namedclothing and is one of my favourite patterns. It is perfect for wearing to those special afternoon teas, keeping cool and just generally swishing around on a warm day.
Needless to say, as soon as I had finished making it, the cold weather returned but when that big yellow orb in the sky makes another appearance…I’ll be ready! 😉

Ad//Gifted - I do so love a pinafore so when I was kindly gifted this lovely pine green needlecord as a #btpdsewinspired ambassador for @beyond.thepinkdoor I didn’t need to think twice what I wanted to make. This is the #robecosmopolitan by @maisonfauveuk made as the dress rather than the playsuit shown on the front of the pattern envelope. This pattern seems to have flown under the radar in my opinion but I love it. It has hidden pockets and an interesting lower yoke on the front skirt. It has a lined bodice but by using the back skirt pattern piece it was easy to make it fully lined. I am really pleased with this dress and will definitely make more as since I’ve made it, I’ve worn it almost to death!

I nabbed this gorgeous Lise Taylor viscose fabric as soon as it appeared on Andrea’s @beyond.thepinkdoor website. I delayed sewing it up as I wanted to find a pattern that would do it justice and voila! the Presley shirt by @sosewdressmaking appeared (the side ties sold it to me). I combined this with my new trousers and a Harper cardigan by @sinclairpatterns in a lovely bright Boucle also purchased from @beyond.thepinkdoor to create an outfit so I’m now all dressed up….but where to go? 😉 #btpdsewinspired #februarysewover50 #sosewpresley by @bel_sews

I finally plucked up the courage to tackle the welt pockets on these trousers and although they’re not the best attempt, they have at least been sewn!
These are the #pantalonandrea trousers by @maisonfauveuk made in a gorgeous woven bamboo fabric that’s part of the BTPD Essentials Collection @beyond.thepinkdoor .
I love this fabric so much that I have lengths of this in every colour just waiting in the wings to join these trousers that I’m rather pleased with😏 . #btpdsewinspired #femmefauveuk #januarysewover50 by @bel_sews

Ad:Gifted - As a very honoured SewInspired Ambassador for @beyond.thepinkdoor, I was delighted to be gifted this gorgeous cotton jersey by Andrea - but what to make?
I decided to make the Refresh Ruched T-shirt by @patternemporium_kate that has ruching at the sides thanks to long ties that create gentle gathers in the bodice so no-one would know if those folds are my top or extra lumps and bumps that have somehow appeared after a rather indulgent Christmas….and I’m not telling!! 😉 #btpdsewinspired #januarysewover50 by @bel_sews

‘Tis the season to be jolly and if you want to feel comfy, it’s time to break out the elasticated waists!
Ad||Gifted - I was very kindly gifted this gorgeous viscose fabric by Andrea @beyond.thepinkdoor and made the #legendepattern trousers by @atelierscammit that is one of my favourite patterns. It has no side seams to pattern match, optional front and back pockets and that all important elasticated waist with a tie belt…..so let the festivities begin! 😉 #btpdsewinspired #sewover50 by @bel_sews
